lion bites

The Lord has seen your turmoil. He has watched your mind going from one thing to the other as you question the things that have happened in your life and have asked why things have to be this way. You have been so close to surrendering everything to Him, but time and time again, you lose hope and can’t find the strength to stretch up even one arm to worship Him.

He says to you today, “Dear Child, I want you to enter my Kingdom, the place where you are a part of a royal priesthood, where the city is made from gold and you are strengthened by my power. Will you stop looking down at the things of the earth and allowing yourself to be sucked into the realms of social media and fantasy? Will you stop going to the door full of false gifts and false satisfaction? Will you enter my door that is full of abundance, love and freedom?”

How do you enter that door today?

Your Father says, “Come to my door, put down your worldly idols, and eat from my Word. Soak yourself in my Word and presence; ask for the veil to be lifted. As you rest in me and seek the revelation of my love and Kingdom, you will see and experience that my door is better than any other door you’ve tried to enter before.

Be encouraged; there is hope! You are loved and cherished! Enter into my Kingdom!”

Matthew 7:7
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

1 Peter 4:8 Daily devotional 10th June 2020

I love today's Devotional and the video that's with it, especially just now with all this hatred thats going about 😡.

I can see the injustice of that man being killed with that police officer but why do people have to jump on a band wagon to make it worse.

As someone said it is not just the blacks that being persecuted what about all those Jewish people in the holocaust etc etc I could go on and on.

All I can say is hate breeds hate. I know because I've experienced it  what about just loving each other as it says in the devotional today. 💖

I know its not that easy but as Pastor Carey Nieuwhof explains in this video its the best way and we are commanded by Jesus to do it.

How I Felt After Marcella Texts

I was being consumed by all the negativity that is going on all around me just now and I could feel a lot of emotions risen in me, which I didn't like.

And I did what I usually do retreat into the darkness. Because I didn't want to be seen. But that just makes things worse. I was feeding the negativity

  • People not obeying the rules for covid-19 😡
  • News about George Floyd being killed by the police 😡
  • Then all the protesting and rioting 😡

I,m not being racist but all lives matters.....I watched a video of a white guy being killed in 2016 with the police similar to George Floyd. The police had his knee stuck in this mans back and pushing his face into the ground

But after reading Marcella texts on whats app I felt so much positive

1. Just read this and thought of you 😍

Ask and He will allow you to behold Him. He will reach beyond and call you altogether lovely and His own. the King is enthralled by your beauty, honour Him for He is your Lord.....Psalm 45:11

2.

3. Then when I was reading them this song started to play in my head and theses lyrics stood out "FOR WE ARE GLORIOUS"....."I AM NOT SCARED TO BE SEEN ...I MAKE NO APOLOGIES.....THIS IS ME"

Then I knew how I was feeling this way. The devil was warring against me because I was using this time to get closer to God. And after listening to this song "THIS IS ME"  It help me fight against it 🙌😇🙌😇🙌

Then Ephesians 6:12(NIV)  came to me
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew 6:14 (NIV)

God's Will Be Done

When the world pushes against you, do you show grace in return?  If you struggle to receive and show mercy, then you aren’t alone, and you are in the right place.

This meditation from Matthew 6 will help you remember to be mindful of your actions so that others see the mercy and grace of God in all that we say and do. That when the world pushes against you, that you show grace in return.

Now welcome this prayer of blessing to remember that God’s will in heaven and earth is that you forgive other people as you’ve been forgiven.  So may you know the forgiveness of Christ, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and encounter the grace of God today and always. Amen.

Timothy 1:7 Encounter Meditation

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.  2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV)

Fanning into Flame

How would you describe your faith journey?  Is it a well-established fire?

This meditation from the first chapter of 2 Timothy will help recognize a spark from an encounter with God.  And watch the spark turn to flame. Pushing out fear and darkness.

Now, let me pray that by God’s grace you do not have a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but remember He has given you a sense of power and love and sound judgment and personal discipline.  Abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control for you. Amen.

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7 (ESV)

Still Standing

Have you felt lost, tossed on your journey of late?  Seeking what feels lost? Scrambling for what’s been tossed?
This meditation from the fifteenth chapter of John will help you remember the hope you have in worshipping a strong Tower that never moves.  The hope of living and abiding in a home that will never crumble. Worshipping a God that remains.

Now, let me pray that you remember that if you make yourself at home with God and his words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how your Father shows who he is...when he cares for those in his care.  Those who remember he is always there. Amen.

Colossians 4:2 Encounter Meditation

Be persistent and devoted to prayer, being alert and focused in your prayer life with an attitude of thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2 (AMP)

Spending Time With God

What do you do with the quiet time you’ve been given to pray?

This meditation from Colossians 4 will help you be persistent and devoted to prayer.  Be alert and focused during your time in prayer.

Now welcome this prayer of thanks of remembering that the temptations of the world can be tempting but to be persistent, devoted, alert, and focused on your time with Christ.  May you know the presence of Christ, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and encounter God at this moment and always. Amen.
