The Joy Of The Lord Is My Strength

Yesterday I got a letter from the council about my rebate for my council tax and rent. I have to make a claim with universal credits so I can receive it. Well that was me starting to fret, this morning I went online to do it but I'm not sure if I hav done it right so I could feel the stress evels going up. So I got down on my knees and prayed to God to help me with strength through with the transition of me moving. After praying I went downstairs to make a cup of tea and when I was down there I read my perpetual calenders

So these messages put a smile on my face. Why do I get all stressed out when I look back and see what God has done for me in the past. It's normal to feel this way it's something I don't like doing. But then I read today Word from UCB and I laughed out loud. God was like if you don't believe those messages here is another one.

Unconditional Joy

'Our relationship is with...Jesus ..so that we can completely filled with joy'. 1 John 1:3-4 GWT

When joy is absent from your life, power is also missing (see Nehemiah 8:10). Your happiness shouldn't be based on what's happening around you, but on your relationship with Jesus. John says, 'We can be completely filled with joy' (1 John 1:4 GWT).

Pastor Reimar Schultze notes: 'John did not say this when all was well, but when...everything had turned to shambles. (1) All his fellow apostles had been murdered. (2) Rome had destroyed the temple [so]...not one stone was left upon another. Flavius Josephus, an eyewitness wrote, "The multitude of those that...perished exceeded all the destructions men or God ever brought upon the world." (3) Many Jews and Christians became refugees. Average life expectancy was about forty years and 25 per cent of the people in Rome were slaves. (4) John himself lived as a condemned criminal on the Isle of Patmos. He had no earthly comforts; no assurance of living another day. When the cup of misery was full, God commissioned [him] to show the world the absolute power and triumph of Christianity over everything...[John's] writings, in reference to our daily walk, put a capstone on all that Heaven intended to reveal in the Word: if we have apostolic fellowship, our joy will be full. You do not need pleasant circumstances for this to happen.'

The psalmist said it best: 'In your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore' (Psalm 16:11 NKJV).

Oh how I love ๐Ÿ˜ the synchronicity of today's messae. My symbol is the humming bird and my scripture on my bookmarker with the hummingbird is Psalm 46:10..... "BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD. And the symbolic meaning of the humming bird is "JOY" ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Here is an extract from it which ties in with today's message

Common Misunderstandings of Psalm 46:10
Instead of interpreting “be still” as a gentle suggestion, the meaning in this psalm lends itself more to: “cease striving” or “stop” and more specifically in this context “stop fighting,” which is directed toward the enemies of the people of God. The people of God should interpret the command for themselves to read more like: ‘snap out of it,’ ‘wake up,’ ‘stop fearing’—acknowledge who your God is—be in awe! However, it is good to note that there’s nothing wrong with the words in the translation “be still;” those words are not incorrect, it is simply helpful to note the context of the phrase. Verse 10 has something to say to both the enemies of God and the people of God, but it is the people of God the psalm is written to. Verse 1 starts, “God is our refuge and strength” (emphasis added). The Psalms are for God’s people.

Word For Today....Learn To Respect The Differences,..

LEARN TO RESPECT DIFFERENCES
'Be gentle, showing every consideration for all people." Titus 3:1-2 NASB

None of us escapes adversity, Jesus told His disciples, 'In this world you will have trouble' (John 16:33 NIV). But Verdell Davis writes, "Though we may endure the same disease, broken relationships, disability and failure, trying to compare sufferings is to ignore the unique dynamics of each individual life. To listen to stories in an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting where all are brought together by their common addiction is to find that each pain, each heartache, each loss, each interplay of relationships is highly charged with some twist no one else in the room has experienced in quite the same way. We must resist seeing our own sorrows as more devastating or less important than someone else's. Mine are unique to me, and if I'm going to deal with them honestly and openly, I must accept that what's going on, deserves my respect.'

Paul writes, 'Be gentle, showing every consideration for all people. Respect the differences between yourself and others, even when you've been through a similar experience. Don't barge in with a three point sermon and a pre-planned speech. The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive' (Proverbs 16:21 NLT). You letting can't go wrong with somebody who's hurting by simply showing up, giving them a hug. them know you care and that you're praying for them. It may be clichรฉd, but it's still true: people don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care! You don't demonstrate the love of God by being pushy, opinionated and acting like a know-it-all. You only do so by being "peace loving, gentle, reasonable, [and] full of mercy (James 3:17 NASB).

2)Last night in the Terry's Zoom Meeting at the end Terry was talking about peace. First we have to have peace with God, With ourselves,With other people...Then we have to keep the peace.

3) The carpets I picked for my flat Robert said the name of it was peacefulness.

Keys to Answered Prayer

Sunday 5th June 2022.

God...rewards everyone who searched for him.'
Hebrews 11:6 CEV

Just as the right key opens the door, there are scriptural principles that act as keys to prayer. For the next few days, let's look at them.

Faith. 'Without faith no one can please God. We must believe that God is real and that he rewards everyone who searches for him' (Hebrews 11:6 CEV). God doesn't necessarily respond to your need. Look around and you will see that everyone has unmet needs. So what does God respond to? Your faith! But Satan will try to fill your mind with doubts. And when he does, you need to examine your heart and see what it says. You can believe God's Word in your heart even when your mind questions it. So stand on what's in your heart instead of what's in your head. Sometimes doubt begins with distraction. When you're distracted from God's promises, you start to doubt. And as you focus more and more on your problems, your faith begins to waver. When that happens, you must refocus like a laser on God's promises - and merely glance at your problems. Don't try to deny them, but don't give them undue attention.

The Bible says: 'When you ask for something, you must have faith and not doubt. Anyone who doubts is like an ocean wave tossed around in a storm. If you are that kind of person, you can't make up your mind, and you surely can't be trusted. So don't expect the Lord to give you anything at all' (James 1:6-8 CEV). Stay anchored to God's Word, and don't drift all over the place when your circumstances begin to change.

Insight I got from my Recovery Bible and from myself. I didn't know the meaning of the word Exertion. So I Google it and found out it meant Physical or Mental Effort. I had written Spiritual also as it say in Ephesians 6:12 we also need to put some effort on the  Spiritual Realm.

Begin To Say What God Says (WFT..2nd June 2022)

BEGIN TO SAY WHAT GOD SAYS "Death and life are in the power of the tongue.'

Proverbs 18:21 NKJV

THURSDAY 02 Jun 2022

Don't speak without thinking. And don't say things that contradict God's Word. Those aren't easy principles to live by, but they're life-and- death issues. The Bible says, 'Death and life are in the power of the tongue. That means you can bless yourself by what you say. He who invokes a blessing on himself...shall do so by saying, "May the God of truth...bless me...because the former troubles are forgotten" (Isaiah 65:16 AMPC). Notice two important things in this Scripture:
1) Your own words have more power to influence you than anyone else's words

In the final analysis, it's not what others say that matters, it's what you tell yourself when they're finished talking. Bottom line: you always have the last word!

 2) You will never enter into what God has planned for your future while

you're still living in the past. You can't undo your past, so don't relive it over and over in your head.

God said, 'Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, will do a new thing' (Isaiah 43:18-19).

It's time to come into agreement with God and start saying what He says about you.

That's no small matter. What you say from the time you get up in the morning until you go to bed at night not only influences your day; it influences the entire outlook and direction of your life.

If you have been praying and asking God for specific answers, you can affect the outcome by making sure what you say lines up with what He says. So when you speak, always keep that in mind!

Lean Not On Your Own Understanding
