Self Perservation & Self-Sufficent

When I was at the bible study at living waters last night, Micheal mentioned Self Perservation which the meaning of is

The protection of oneself from harm or death, especially regarded as a basic instinct in human beings and animals.

Ester was just going about her everyday life and was afraid to go and see the King as Modecia instructed her,  in fear of her life .

Then I read Joyce Meyer Daily 365 Inspirations For a Confident Woman and I felt this was something the same. 

We are only self sufficent through Christ who will protect us just like in the meaning of Self Perservation .
