Verse For 28th February 2020

1. RECEIVE.

Prepare your heart to hear from God. Try a simple prayer like this…
Heavenly Father, please help me understand this Bible verse.
…and then read the Verse For Today :

God’s Word is perfect in every way; how it revives our souls! His laws lead us to truth, and his ways change the simple into wise.
Psalms 19:7 TPT

2. REFLECT

Ask yourself what this verse might be trying to say, and think deeply on your answers. Here are just a few examples we might get from today’s verse........

Jesus expects me to share my faith with other people.
When I demonstrate God’s love, that draws others to Him.
I should work to remove things from my life that don’t show God’s love.
It is often through challenges that God grows my capacity to love others.

The Bible is God's truth. And if we want our lives to change we need to follow his word.

When I read it it does revives my Soul and leads me to the truth. I was lost and blind till I found his word. Now my eyes are open and I AM learning so much.

His word has never changed in 2000 years so it must be the truth or we wouldn't be still reading it today.

3. RESPOND.

Use this verse as the basis for a prayer.

Lord I thank you for giving me wisdom through your word. It has helped me become more wiser and has opened my eyes to your truth and the way we should live our lives.

I was just thinking someone said you don't get a manual on how to live life. But I don't believe that's tru

Verse For today 16th February 2020

1. RECEIVE.

Prepare your heart to hear from God. Try a simple prayer like this…
Heavenly Father, please help me understand this Bible verse.
…and then read the Verse For Today :

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
Philippians 2:3 ESV

The Passion version says " Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves."

This is so true when we are filled with pride there is no room to be humble.

So God is showing me that my heart was full of this pride that's why I am in hospital getting my heart fixed.

3. RESPOND.

Use this verse as the basis for a prayer.

Please Lord may you fix my heart and unblock what needs to be unlocked.. The pain I have is because of my pride so create in me a new heart Lord.

not By Might Not By Power...But by My Spirit Says The Lord.

Winning life's battles (2)

Tuesday 18th February 2020

'We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.' 2 Chronicles 20:12 NIV

Second, admit your own inadequacy. The only people God can't help are those who don't think they need his help. King Jehoshaphat said, 'We have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you' (2 Chronicles 20:12 NIV). Often our eyes are on everything and everyone - except God - the one who can solve our problems.

Your circumstances are like a mattress: if you're on top you can rest easy, but if you're underneath you can suffocate. Keep your eyes on the Lord and you'll win out over your circumstances. Remember, it's 'not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord' (Zechariah 4:6 NIV). You can't live the Christian life in your own strength because you have a power shortage. You need the power that comes from letting God's Spirit live through you. Try to imagine a glove. On its own, it is limp and powerless. But once a hand fills that glove it becomes useful and effective.

Jesus said, 'You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you' (Acts 1:8 NKJV). Jesus often spoke of the Holy Spirit as 'the Helper', so when you don't know what to do, stand on his promise: 'The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name...will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you' (John 14:26 NKJV). If you fight in your own strength, you'll lose. But when you draw on the power of God's Spirit that's within you, you'll win.

Sow What You Reap : Verse For Today 17th February 2020

1. RECEIVE.

Prepare your heart to hear from God. Try a simple prayer like this…
Heavenly Father, please help me understand this Bible verse.
…and then read the Verse For Today :

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9 ESV

This verse shows me to keep doing good, even though others are not. God has shown me that the wicked do not go unpunished. The last few days I have been consumed with anger at what was happening  around me.

I took my eyes off the cross and was focusing too much on what others were doing. I always talk about Karma and this verse has reflected this too me. We reep what we sow so don't get weary and give up. I nearly did last night I broke down and I cried out to God and this verse today is my answer.

Because I was holding onto anger it caused my depression to get worse, just what satan wants. But he is a liar. He was saying I was right to feel that way when it was not. That's how I've been in bed since Friday. He is stealing my joy.

I just read my lion bites for today and just loved this verse. This is exactly what I need to do......

Ezekiel 18:31
Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit.

3. RESPOND.

Use this verse as the basis for a prayer.

Heavenly Father thank you so much for hearing my crys last night. Your Mercies are new every day. And I am so glad you are my Saviour and Redeemer.

You have shown me we reap what we sow and I want to sow a good harvest for you Father. I know you let the rain fall on the good and the bad but you will not let the unjust get away with it.

I am also glad you have corrected me, because I was giving up and fallen back into my old ways and I don't want that Father. I am living on your promises that you have a plan for me one that will prosper and bring me joy if I just stay true to You and myself.

Because I want to be the person you have made me to be and what I was doing wasn't linning up with what you had in mind.

So I thank you for opening my eyes of my heart Lord so that I can see you more. Because I want to have a good harvest of Faith, Hope and Love

And as your Son said  " And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Amen.

Confess Your Sins : Verse For Today 16th February 2020

1. RECEIVE.

Prepare your heart to hear from God. Try a simple prayer like this…
Heavenly Father, please help me understand this Bible verse.
…and then read the Verse For Today :

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
James 5:16 NIV

I do believe that God is working to remove things from my life that doesn't show Gods love. One of them is my anger. I was reading my devotional HealingThe Mind and BodyConnection and this stood out

"To remove bad emotions from our lives and turn on the love of God within us, we need to follow the wisdom found in the Bible on a daily basis. We cannot eliminate wrong emotions like anger, bitterness, envy, resentment—all the emotions that are against somebody who hurt us, betrayed us, or said something that was untrue—by willpower. Our will does not have control over our emotions. We cannot will out worry or fear from our lives.

Our will does not have control over our emotions, but it does have complete control over our actions, and actions change emotions. Jesus teaches us to love our enemies, to bless those who curse us, to do good, and to pray. He commands us to act against things that stir up bad emotions in us, saying, “Love, bless, do good, and pray.” All these require action, and action changes emotions.

3. RESPOND.
Use this verse as the basis for a prayer.

Father I need Your help here. When anger arises in me I find it hard to think of anything else but the person who caused it.

And I confess it is not very good thoughts that I have. I also react in the wrong way. I become bitter and resentful and want revenge on them. so in fact I am no better than they are

So please Father help me to put these matters into your hands to deal with, instead of me making myself ill because of the hatred I have for these people.

As it also said in my devotion "The greatest way that the soul can prosper is through the love of God. We need to be permeated with His love-a love that is kind, forgiving, and one that never fails"

So please Father show me how to love the way that you do. I want to put all of this into "ACTION" so I can be the person You want me to be.

My lion bite for the 17th February 2020 has help me to understand what I must do xx

Ezekiel 18:31
Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit.

Story Of A Watch

Love this story someone posted on facebook and its so true, Exactly the way I am feeling just now

My father said to me : “This is a watch your grandfather gave me, and it’s more than 200 years old and I want you to have it. But before I give it to you, take it to the watch shop and tell him you want to sell it, and see how much he offers you.“

I went, then came back to my father and said
“The watchmaker offered me £5 because it’s old.“

My father then said to me: “Go to the coffee shop and tell them you want to sell it and see how much he offers you“ .

I went and then came back, and said: “He offered me £5 father.“

My father then said to me : “Go to the museum and show them that watch. And tell them you want to sell it, and see how much he offers you“

I went, then came back, and said to my father “They offered me £1 million for this watch!“

My father said: “I wanted to let you know that, the right place values you in the right way.
Don’t put yourself in the wrong place and then get angry if you’re not valued”.

Those that know your value are those who appreciate you, don’t stay in a place where nobody sees your value.“

Know your worth ❤️

Lion Bites 14th February 2020

Ann, here's your Lion Bites daily prophetic word for Friday 14 February 20

Live Out of My Word!

For the word of the Lord is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12

"My word is powerful," says the Lord. "But you don't always give time for it in your busy life as you should. I am calling you now to get into my Word in a fresh way. Choose to read it differently, choose to read a new version, choose to read it out loud, and even choose different quantities. Really let it come alive; expect it to come to life in you and through you. Live out of my Word and see how it changes you; see how it changes how you live and be who I've called you to be!"

Deuteronomy 30:14
But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

Prepare your heart to hear from God. Try a simple prayer like this…
Heavenly Father, please help me understand this Bible verse.

Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else . Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance.

Oh how this is so for me at the moment. I am challenged just now with loving other people that I don't like. But as it say God let's it rain on the just and the unjust.

I have not to judge anyone. As it said at the Bible Study for the book of James "We are sinning when we judge" Only one person can judge and that's God

And I love the passion version of this verse especially this part

"Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance."

I feel as though I'm trying to make myself better than them while I am a sinner myself. There was only one perfect person on this planet and He was crucified for our sins.

3. RESPOND.

Use this verse as the basis for a prayer.

Thank you Lord for opening my eyes and connecting my head to my heart and showing me how to love unconditionally like your Son Jesus.

Also Lord I want to thank you for learning me lessons not to be jealous. Because jealousy can harden your heart and make you bitter.

Because it is our thinking that must be renewed because God has placed a new heart in us and we don't want to damage it with negative thoughts.

This is the longest journey anyone will take is the 9inchs from our heads to our hearts.

Healing The Mind-Body Connection Devotional

Day 1. Hopelessness to Hope
When God created us, He did so in a holistic fashion. The Bible describes us as soul, body, and spirit. You cannot dissect a human being and separate the three. Everything is interconnected. That is where the word holistic comes from; it relates to the belief that the parts of something are intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole. We cannot separate the effects of our living and thinking from our physical wellbeing. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 4:20–22 (TLB): “Listen, son of mine, to what I say. Listen carefully. Keep these thoughts ever in mind; let them penetrate deep within your heart, for they will mean real life for you and radiant health.” There is a mind-body connection.

What we think affects our physical bodies. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Hope is like a refuge that protects us from the adversary. It is the anchor of the soul. When our thoughts change, our bodies change. Our positive and negative beliefs impact every area of our lives. Norman Cousins, an author, professor, and journalist, did ten years of research on the biochemistry of human emotions, which he believed were the key to human beings’ success in fighting illness. He strongly believed that if you encounter a patient with a terminal diagnosis and give them a negative report, hopelessness fills their mind, and their immune system will not fight. However, if you put a survivor of the same diagnosis next to the patient, and they see that there is hope, their immune system will start fighting. They go from hopelessness to hope. Again we see the mind-body connection.

Many medical experts agree that our thoughts have an amazing impact on our health. A merry—cheerful, optimistic, excited—heart does good, like medicine, but hopelessness dries up the bones. Herbert Benson, MD, says that “negative thinking leads to stress, which affects our bodies’ natural healing capacity.” Everywhere in the Bible we find Jesus talking about hope and faith. We cannot have faith without hope. Our beliefs are like filters on a camera, changing how we see the world. Our biology—our physical being—adapts to those beliefs. In Mark 5 we see a woman with an issue of blood, who thought that if she could touch Jesus, she would be healed. That woman had seen in her mind that she was going to be healed. She said it within herself before it happened. And she was healed. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. When we understand the power of what we believe, we will change our beliefs to the positive.

Our physical body cannot distinguish between an actual scene and one lived out in our imagination. We can be somewhere and physically see it, or just close our eyes and see it in our imagination and it would have the same effect upon us. Have you ever heard of that? We do it with worry all the time. We do it in reverse. Worry is simply a bad thing played out in our imagination. Our fear goes up, our stress level goes up, and our high blood pressure goes up. That is the mind-body connection. We can shift from worry and fear of dying to trust and hope for living. This gives our bodies a chance to promote healing. Stress goes out and the peace of God comes in.

*Hebrews 11:1
*Proverb 17:22
*Matthew 9:29
*Ephesians 3:20
*Mark 5:25-34

Day 2. Go in Peace
There is so much sickness in this world. Our world is overrun with mental and physical agonies. People are filled with fear and worry over everything, which lead to stress. Stress is at an all-time high level. There are a lot of medical studies proving that stress shortens the life of human beings. The Bible has always been ahead of science; that is why we need to have a biblical perspective and build our lives accordingly. Since the human mind cannot distinguish reality from imagination, we should always fill our minds with good, positive, kind, and lovely thoughts. Our minds should be filled with the peace of God, which will bring healing into our bodies.

Why do you think that often in the Bible, after Jesus heals someone, He tells them to “go in peace”? Because that way they would stay healed. God’s peace is so important to us, and it can only come from thinking and thanking. These two words are really connected. If we think of good things, we begin to be thankful for them. If we think about bad things, we become unthankful. The more we think about God’s promises, and become thankful for all that He has done and all we have, the greater God’s peace within us will be. Peace in the Bible means safety, soundness, healing, deliverance, and freedom.

When our thoughts are filled with stress, fear, worry, anxiousness, and tension, we remove the peace of God from our minds. We are overly familiar with worry and stress, yet many of the things that we worry about never happen. As our minds clutter with the toxicity of stress, worry, and fear, our bodies start to lose energy, our immune system lowers, and we are more susceptible to diseases.

To break the hold of stress, worry, and fear from our minds and lives, we must gently but forcibly bring healthier and stronger ideas into our minds. When faith, rather than fear, becomes our practice, we will master worry. We were designed by God, and we were made to live, not die. That hopeful picture makes us see ourselves strong. Play a hopeful picture in the theater of your mind. Fill yourself with the image of a positive future, like the woman with the issue of blood who hoped for healing. When she acted upon what she first imagined, Jesus told her that her faith had made her whole.
Do not believe a bad report, do not lose hope, do not give up. Believe a good report. Read and write down scriptures that talk about faith each day. Absorb them, let them sink deep into your mind. You can be the person God wants you to be. You are God’s best.

*Proverbs 15:30
*Ecclesiastes 11:10
*Jeremiah 29:11
*Luke 7:50

Day 3:  The Good Medicine
The greatest way that the soul can prosper is through the love of God. We need to be permeated with His love—a love that is kind, forgiving, hopes all things, and will never fail. American psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, Smiley Blanton, says in one of his books that without love man is likely to perish from a variety of diseases from the mind and body. Dr. Alfred Adler wrote: “It is the individual who is not interested in his fellow men who has the greatest difficulties in life and provides the greatest injury to others.” And, we might add, to themselves as well. We read in the Bible that love is the highest and greatest commandment: love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and love your neighbor (Matthew 22:37–39).

To remove bad emotions from our lives and turn on the love of God within us, we need to follow the wisdom found in the Bible on a daily basis.

We do not love in word; we need to love in deed (1 John 3:18). Love, bless, do good, and pray. When we involve ourselves in these good actions, bad emotions dissipate. Action can alter our emotions towards others, and it can also change our emotions about life. We can learn to have a happy life. We can learn to be happy.

Medical science has confirmed that when we are happy—in a state of mind fixed on good and pleasant thoughts—we perform better and feel better. People who practice thinking pleasant and positive thoughts can see, smell, taste, and hear better. Happiness improves the function of all of our internal organs. King Solomon said a merry heart is good like medicine (Proverbs 17:22). Good medicine is laughing, relaxing, being happy, taking it easy, and enjoying people. That is a mind-body connection.
In the Bible we are taught to receive our food with thanksgiving and prayer. Why do you think that is? It is because that way our digestive juices and our stomachs work better. God wants us to be healthy, and in order to be healthy we have to be happy. Happiness is not in our future—one day when our bills are paid, when we have everything we need. Happiness is in our present: it is right now. We can be happy now. It is a mental habit, a mental attitude. If it is not practiced in the present, it can never be experienced. There is so much to be thankful for. Thankfulness produces happiness that will promote health. Be that person God made you to be. Be filled with excitement, enthusiasm and joy!

Verse For Today From My YouVersion Bible App 13th February 2020

1. RECEIVE.

Prepare your heart to hear from God. Try a simple prayer like this…
Heavenly Father, please help me understand this Bible verse.
…and then read the Verse For Today.

And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation.
Philippians 2:5 TPT

*Motivation requires ACTION

*This reminds me of my notes from the Bible Study last Night. we need to become like Jesus and this takes action on our part. yes we are saved by grace but as James 2:19 says

You can believe all you want that there is one true God, that’s wonderful! But even the demons know this and tremble with fear before him, yet they’re unchanged— they remain demons .
James (Jacob) 2:19 TPT

So as I said in my notes for my Bible Study "UNLESS YOU PUT THINGS INTO ACTION NOTHING WONT CHANGE"

In the scripture James 2:29 the demons stayed unchanged and I don't want to be like them. I want to change

3. RESPOND.

Use this verse as the basis for a prayer.

*So heavenly Father please give me the motivation be more like Christ. I know to have the same mindset of Christ I need to change my way of thinking and to change needs action. I don't want to be unchanged like the demons I want to be more like Christ your beloved son. Amen

Bible Study Of The Book Of James At Living Waters

I have always loved the book of James so I was so pleased when I heard the church was doing a study on it.

Points and Notes from the 12th February 2020 :

4 Points Micheal made about Chapter 2....

1. Makes a statement
2. A Sample.
3. Raises an objection.
4. Two additional examples.

Scriptures Micheal mentioned...
Matthew 25:41-46 (TPT)
“Then to those on his left the King will say, ‘Leave me! For you are under the curse of eternal fire that has been destined for the devil and all his demons.  For when you saw me hungry, you refused to give me food, and when you saw me thirsty, you refused to give me something to drink.  I had no place to stay, and you refused to take me in as your guest. When you saw me poorly clothed, you closed your hearts and would not cover me. When you saw that I was sick, you didn’t lift a finger to help me, and when I was imprisoned, you never came to visit me.’ “And then those on his left will say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty and not give you food and something to drink? When did we see you homeless, or poorly clothed? When did we see you sick and not help you, or in prison and not visit you?’ “Then he will answer them, ‘Don’t you know? When you refused to help one of the least important among these my little ones, my true brothers and sisters, you refused to help and honor me.’  And they will depart from his presence and go into eternal punishment. But the godly and beloved ‘sheep’ will enter into eternal bliss.”

1 John 3:17 (TPT)
If anyone sees a fellow believer in need and has the means to help him, yet shows no pity and closes his heart against him, how is it even possible that God’s love lives in him?

Ephesians 2:8-9 (TPT)
For it was only through this wonderful grace that we believed in him. Nothing we did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the gracious gift from God that brought us to Christ! So no one will ever be able to boast, for salvation is never a reward for good works or human striving.

Hebrews 11:7 TPT
Faith opened Noah’s heart to receive revelation and warnings from God about what was coming, even things that had never been seen. But he stepped out in reverent obedience to God and built an ark that would save him and his family. By his faith the world was condemned, but Noah received God’s gift of righteousness that comes by believing.

Hebrews 11:27, 29, 30
Holding faith’s promise Moses abandoned Egypt and had no fear of Pharaoh’s rage because he persisted in faith as if he had seen God who is unseen. Faith opened the way for the Hebrews to cross the Red Sea as if on dry land, but when the Egyptians tried to cross they were swallowed up and drowned! Faith pulled down Jericho’s walls after the people marched around them for seven days!

My Notes :
*Faith is all about ACTION..
*Unless You put things into action, nothing will change.
*Meet The Need Of The People.
*Consider Yourself Authorised.
*Pray And Action.
*But we need to remember too that we were not saved by works but by Grace.
*I feel when you are saved by Grace you want to do the right thing this is were Action comes in we need to work to be like Jesus.

You can believe all you want that there is one true God, that’s wonderful! But even the demons know this and tremble with fear before him, yet they’re unchanged— they remain demons .

Jesus expects me to share my faith with other people.
When I demonstrate God’s love, that draws others to Him.
I should work to remove things from my life that don’t show God’s love.
It is often through challenges that God grows my capacity to love others.

I believe Jesus expects me to share my faith with others. I can show them what he has done in my life and He can do it in thetes

A Replenishing

You are running well, fighting hard, serving and ministering with all your heart. Well done!

But I see you need new shoes. Your clothes are a little threadbare. Your pockets are empty. It's time to let me kit you out again.

Come with me to my storehouse and choose what you like - there is no rationing in the Kingdom.

Let me replenish you. It is my pleasure to replenish you!

Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait for the Lord, who expect, look for, and hope in Him, will gain new strength and renew their power; they will lift up their wings and rise up close to God like eagles rising toward the sun; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not grow tired.

Ephesians 3:16
And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power.

Rescue...Overtake...Recover

https://www.ejirootiveigbuzor.com/pursue-overtake-recover/

Message Topic: Pursue, Overtake, Recover

Preacher: Pastor (Mrs) Ejiro Otive-Igbuzor

Text:  1 Samuel 30: 1-20; John 10:10; Isaiah 61: 1-7

INTRODUCTION: John 10: 10 clearly states that the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. In this text, the thief refers to Satan and his demons. A thief does not give notice in most instances. He/she waits for an opportune moment when the victim is not alert. In the same vein, robbers of destiny sneak cunningly into peoples’ lives when they are relaxed or in desperate need. Jesus our Lord was led into the wilderness and tempted of the devil after He had fasted 40 days and 40 nights. One would have expected the devil to be scared of someone who had fasted and on fire with the presence of the Holy Spirit. The devil knew that at the end of a fast, one thing Jesus needed was food and that was his entry point. Jesus won gallant victory over the enemy when He said “it is written, man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. On the contrary, Esau fell like a pack of cards when he was tempted to exchange his birthright for food.

What has the devil stolen from you either through oppression, sheer disobedience or carelessness on your part or spiritual slumber? Your health, Joy, peace, marital bliss, your child, spouse, talent, gift, breakthrough, energy, job, exam success, your opportunity, your God-given destiny? It is time to embark on a destiny rescue mission.

MAIN POINTS

1 Sam 30: 1-20 tells the story of David’s conflict with the Amalekites. The Amalekites invaded Ziklag and took the Israelites captive. Their wives, children and possessions were carried away and Ziklag was burned with fire. The enemy struck when David and his men were not prepared. Note the following key points:

1. V4 – David and the people cried until they had no power to cry anymore. What is it that has made you cry? Sickness, a wayward child, a bickering or unfaithful spouse, a failed marriage, loss of your earthly or spiritual possessions, business or examination failure, poverty? The Lord says – weep no more.

2. V6b – Despite David’s depression, he strengthened himself in the Lord. Are you depressed, frustrated, anxious or afraid? It is time to strengthen yourself in the Lord. In Psalm 42: 5, the Psalmist preached a message to himself – why are you downcast o my soul? Put your hope in God for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance. You need to resolve to praise the Lord in the midst of your circumstances. Remember that God inhabits the praises of his children. If you lose everything to the enemy, never lose the praise of the Lord on your lips. As you praise Him, you will be lifted. Your joy will be restored and you will receive strength to carry on. In addition, your praise invites the awesome presence of the Lord into your situation and He moves mightily to grant you solution. If you are a praise warrior, whoever contends with you contends with the Lord.

3. V7-8 – David inquired of the Lord – Shall I pursue this troop? Is it still possible to recover that which the enemy has stolen from me? The Lord answered – Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail, you will recover ALL. Are you on the verge of giving up on your health, marriage, business, children or your dream and destiny? The Lord says no. There is hope. It is still within reach. Pursue, you must because victory is sure!

4. V16 – The enemy was rejoicing over their loot but like one preacher would say, it’s not over until you win! David pursued and overtook the enemy troop.

5. V18-20 – Not only did David recover ALL that was stolen but he had his own war spoil in addition. When God causes you to recover, you will never be the same again. Your latter day will be greater than your former.

CONCLUSION: Are you going to sit down, whine and wail while the enemy rejoices over you? It is time to arise, embark on a destiny rescue mission on your knees in prayer to the Father. Obey Him as He instructs you in the way that you should go and watch Him move mightily to change your story, Jesus came to undo the works of the enemy (Isaiah 61: 1-7). At the end of it all, He will give you double honour for every shame.

fantastic in the attic/Fella in the cellar

http://injesus.com/message-archives/prophetic/kathiewaltersministy/the-fanatic-in-the-attic-the-fella-in-the

Are you listening to the Fanatic in the Attic or the Fella in the cella?

The Fanatic in the Attic represents your spirit man - the neat thing is that He has a great view, He can see a long way off, He can see round corners. The fanatic in the attic is always excited. giving directions according to what HE can see.

The fella in the cella represents the mind realm which can only reason and see. what's immediatly in sight.  Jesus said "The wind blows where it wills, you can't tell where it's coming from and where it's going..you just hear the sound thereof, so is everyone that is born of the Spirit."    So my friend,. who are you listening to?  Where are you getting your information for your decisions?  Hopefully from the Spirit , the fanatic in the attic.  Your mind realm might put up a bit of a fight - remember. he can't see far off - keep your spiritual antenna up

The fanatic in the attic. (your Spirit)  and the fella in the cella  (your mind realm) are both talking to you all the time.

Who are you going to listen to?   A good freind and father in the Lord, Arthur Burt, told us one time of how he was on a bus in the middle of the English country side on a Sunday afternoon.  Now, if you are fortunate those buses may come about every 2 hours.
What's more it was pouring with rain.  Arthur was going on the bus from town A to town B.  Suddenly the fanatic in the attice said "Arthur, get off the bus at the next stop."  The fella in the cellar said,  "Are you mad? there's nothing here."

Once more the fanatic in the attic said, "Get off the bus at the next stop"  "It's pouring with rain and there's nothing here"  protested the fella in the cella.  But Arthur had to make a choice as the bus stop was approaching the stop. He jumped up. rang the little bell and the bus pulled to a stop. Arthur jumped off and the bus pulled away

So Arthur Was left standing in the pouring rain as the bus went on.. "What an idiot" the fella in the cella said.

The fanatic in the attic said, "Arthur just stand still."  As there was nowhere else to go, he did, getting very wet.  After about 5=6 minutes a car drove by;  then screeched to a halt and started coming backwards towards Arthur.  The windows wound down and some heads poked out the windows.   "Arthur, Oh Arthur, it's Arthur Burt. "  The back door flew open. "Jump in Arthur" the voices said.  Arthur was happy to get out of the rain but wondered what was going on.

"Arthur we are having a meeting in a town nearby - everyone is coming, but the preacher who was coming to preach called from London to say he couldn't make it.  So Arthur we were praying, 'Oh Lord please send someone to preach at our meeting'" "And there you were Arthur standing right there at the bus stop."

So if you want to be the answer instead of the problem learn to listen to the fanatic in the attic and not the fella in the cella. Tons of blessings Kathie Walters

Bible Study 6th February 2020

Last night at the Bible Study "Book of James" One of the verses I underlined was "SO BY SHOWING MERCY YOU TAKE DOMINION OVER JUDGEMENT"

I wasn't sure  what the word Dominion meant and was going to look up the meaning when I got home but I had forgotten about it.

But I was just reading my Devotional from my Bible app and in one of the scripture that was with the devotional was this word again.

"So if while we were still enemies, God fully reconciled us to himself through the death of his Son, then something greater than friendship is ours. Now that we are at peace with God, and because we share in his resurrection life, how much more we will be rescued from sin’s dominion!
Romans 5:10 TPT

So I google the meaning and it says "Control..Power Over"

So we can have Dominion or we can let sin have Dominion over us. What choice do you want????

Because God has given us the power to have Dominion over things as it says in Genesis 1:26

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Here is today's message which I think ties in nicely with what I said above. We have God on our side. So we have the power and control to reign over sin and the devil.

Assurance through the Promise Of God

Before God justified you, you were helpless, ungodly, and God’s enemy. In that state, Jesus died for you. Paul says “If, when we were at our worst, we were put on friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death of his Son, now that we’re at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life!”

Is it presumptuous to fully know you are saved? Absolutely not! It is written throughout the Scripture that God wants you to have the assurance of knowing you are saved so that not only can you be secured in your salvation but assured.

The problem is knowing a point of reference. If someone asks you, “How do you know you’re saved?” Many do not know how to answer. They say things like “I feel His presence.” “I feel the Holy Spirit bearing fruit.” “Things are great.” But what happens if things are not so great? What happens during seasons that you see no fruit? Seasons in which you do not feel His presence. Those seasons may take you to dark places. You may blame God and distance from Him when the point of reference is yourself based on how well you’re doing. This is a terrible point of reference. Yes, God’s work in your life is confirmation of salvation. However, He never intends for salvation to be based on your performance.

Your assurance and security are based on God’s ability to make and keep a promise. God says that when you trust in Jesus, He will save you. We know we are saved because God made a promise. You are secured in Jesus Christ because of the power of God, not your standard of holiness. And you are assured of your salvation because of the promise of God, not because of your performance.

You may be wondering if good works are important. What about holiness and obedience? What about the things God asks us to do? Yes, they are critical, but they do not earn your salvation. Good works flow in gratitude and obedience out of your justification. That’s how you become more like Jesus. A Christian should not be foolish and willfully sin. You cannot abuse of God’s grace without consequence. Paul says you are God’s workmanship, created in Christ for good works so that you would walk in them. Grace is the seed of spiritual growth.

God does not want you to live with fear, doubt, or insecurity. All that needs to be accomplished has already been done in Jesus Christ. When He said on the cross, “It is finished,” He meant it. If you slip, He’s got you. He will hold you. You can be assured and secured in that. That’s the way He wants His children to live. It’s a gift of God’s grace.

My Pictures On My Calender Shannon Made For February 2020

Verse For The 4th February 2020

1. RECEIVE.

Prepare your heart to hear from God. Try a simple prayer like this…
Heavenly Father, please help me understand this Bible verse.
…and then read the Verse For Today :
Romans 5:3‭-‬5 NIV

"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."

I believe this one is too show my faith to others. Because through my suffering I have endured pain and if it was not for God's  love being poured into my heart through the Holy Spirit I would not have been able to endure it.

So my suffering did produce endurance and endurance produced my character, and my charecter has produced hope. Because its my hope that builds faith in others that they can get through it.

I love the acrostic for HOPE.
Heating,
Other,
Peoples,
Experiences.

3. RESPOND.

Use this verse as the basis for a prayer.

Lord I am so lucky to be filed by your Holy Spirit. Which has given me the strength to endure the situations in my life.

And with this endurance I have built up my character and Hope in you .

I rejoice in all of this, not for my glory Lord but for yours. For your Son endured for us first on that cross.....Amen.

Verse From YouVersion For 1st February 2020.

1. RECEIVE.

Prepare your heart to hear from God. Try a simple prayer like this…
Heavenly Father, please help me understand this Bible verse.
…and then read the Verse For Today :

"I keep my eyes always on the Lord . With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Psalms 16:8 NIV"

2. Reflect.

Well today this verse is saying to me that I should keep my eyes on the Lord. Because what I was doing this morning wasn't right and it was unjust.

I was looking through Declan phone and I found a lot of stuff I didn't like, and it made me angry.

But if I was doing my usual time  with the Lord which I usually do,  I wouldn't have seen and heard all that stuff and I wouldn't be as upset ans angΕ•y as I am right now

The excuse was so that I could be ready with stuff he was lying about. I prayed to the Lord to reveal to me what he was and his mum was up too.

But now I know that God only lets us see what we need to see. I don't want to be associated with this kind of living.

So I need to take my eyes back of them and put them onto The Lord. Because as the second part of the scripture says
"With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken."

3. Respond.

Use this verse as the basis for a prayer.

So Lord let them decrease in my life and let you Increase. Because when I am focused on you, my life is Amaising!!!! and when I focus on others my life becomes like a car crash. So always be at my right hand Lord to guide and protect me. In your sons mighty name Jesus. .....Amen
