Isaiah 55:6 : Encounter Meditation



Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near.  Isaiah 55:6 (ESV)

Turn To God


Turning means to change in nature. To transform from one state to another.  To turn from one season to another. To turn from one time to another. To turn from one purpose to another. 

This meditation from Isaiah 55 is about turning. Turning from our natural state to the divine.  Turning from our past to our present. Turning from our pain to our joy. Turning from ourselves to the mind of Christ.

Let me pray this closing benediction over you to turn to the Lord. Stop doing evil things. And quit thinking evil thoughts. Turn to the Lord. The Lord will show you his tender love. Turn to God.  He is always ready to forgive. Now may the love of Christ, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and your encounter with a forgiving God be what gives you most hope now and always, Amen.
