Discernment story of my mobile

This morning when I was reading "The One Thing" a song came to mind called Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus by Jesus Culture. The devotional was called The Blood Of Jesus Protects.

I went to get my phone to listen to it and I couldn't find it. I looked everywhere then a voice said in my head "Sometimes things are covered up" so i moved my hand over my bed to see and low and behold my phone was under the cover.

This is true in life also people try to cover up things. But if you have the Holy Spirit inside of you, you can discern the truth even if its covered up!!!!!!

Day 23 The One Thing Devotional Ladies Group

Marion asked us to pray about topics for our ladies group. At first I wanted to do something on "The Road To Damascus"  but I just could not get connect to the internet to show me info for it. Then I thought right I prayed about this, but is this what God wants me to do???

So I just got on with my morning talk to God ๐Ÿ˜. I was also having a conversation on what's app with my nephew James. I use to get so upset if something disturb me in my quite time with God. That was untill He showed me that sometimes this is were I can share His son Jesus with other people.

So after texting with my nephew which I did get to share about Jesus  ha ha ... I was reading my Joseph Prince Devotional and I thought about how once in my DNA group we did a Bible study about the characters of the Bible and how we got to know them better through this. This was also in my conversation with James. You get to know a person better when you know their character.

Well I love hearing other people's experiences and how they perceive things. Sometimes our own perspective can change because of it. This is what help me in my addiction to alcohol.

Going to the A.A help me change my view on how to stop drinking. Listening to others how they did it and seeing how their character was authentic help. Some people aren't authentic but it always shows up in their chatacter.

Then God put into my heart do a Bible Study and get other people's view on a certain thing. So when I was reading my Joseph Prince Devotional "ONE THING"  I thought how about doing a Bible Study on this!!!!

So I looked at the date of the next group meeting and I looked at the  message for that day. When I read it something stood right out and knew this was from God.

At the last prayer meeting on the 29th August 2022 at The Kings Church I was giving a word by Elaine "SPIRIT OF POVERTY" I wasn't sure at first but I always put it in my tool box just incase I need it !!! Well that was on Friday on the Sunday Denise gave a message on "The Widow's Offering"  I've written a blog about this.

Well in the message on the date for the next ladies group the word POVERTY was in it. So that decided it for me I will put it forward and see if the ladies would like to do this Devotional plus I can get more insight from it and get to know the ladies characters.

I will read the message then ask the question what was THE ONE THING they got from it.

God Of Restoration

Reading my Jeff Prince devotional and the Word For Today and both are about God Restoration ๐Ÿ™

The One Thing ....Claim Your Restoration!

...that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things...Acts 3:20-21

Aa believer, you have a right originally lost, in terms of quality to expect restoration of the and/or quantity. How much more things that the devil has stolen from will our restoration be under the new you. It may be your health marriage covenant because of the shed blood or finances, but payback time is of the Lamb of God! definitely coming!

Acts 3:20-21 tells us that before Jesus comes back for His church, we will experience "the times of restoration of all things". What a hope that gives us, knowing that God will restore to us all things before Jesus returns!

My friend, if the devil is attacking you in any area, tell God, "Father, I will not allow the devil to rob me of my health, marriage, children or finances. These blessings are blood-bought and paid for by Your Son!" Claim your restoration in Christ and heaven will hear you. as a family in church.

There will be such times of restoration of all things to the body of Christ that His people will only get better, stronger, healthier, and more prosperous and glorious! When God restores, even under the old covenant, His people always received much more than what they had

A divorcee with a teenage son came to our church and accepted the Lord in May 2003. She began to pray for the restoration of her marriage and the reunion of her family. She knew that the chances of this happening were close to zero since she had not met nor spoken with her ex-husband since their divorce 10 years ago. She did not even know if he had remarried. But God caused their paths to cross at a wedding at the end of 2003. Today, their relationship is healed, and together with their son, they worship

Even though what happened for that sister may not happen for every divorced person God can give you a better spouse and marriage), I believe that God wants you to know that your times of restoration are here. Heaven is waiting to hear you stake your claim for restoration!

Word For Today.....God will take care of you.

'I have not seen the righteous forsaken.' Psalm 37:25 NKJV

If you're worried about making ends meet, read on: 'The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread' (Psalm 37:23-25 NKJV).

You may be at the cliff's edge today, but God won't let you go over it. And if you do, he will catch you. 'You will have plenty to eat...and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you' (Joel 2:26 NIV). Stop trying to figure everything out and start leaning on God. 'Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you' (Psalm 37:3-5 NLT).

God may not give you everything you want, but he will give you everything you need: 'Don't worry about these things, saying, "What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?" These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need' (Matthew 6:31-33 NLT). 'Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you' (Psalm 55:22 NLT). So, don't worry, God will take care of you!

Sister Act Videos

I was watching this video "I Will Follow Him" from Sister Act and I posted it on my face book. Then I thought that people from the church wont like it.

That made me think you don't have to be religious to have Jesus in your life, religion is man made.

Jesus came so that we would be free ...Galatians 5:1 "It is for freedom that Christ set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burden again by a yoke of slavery"

At the end of this video there are 3 Scriptures, see Jesus turns up in secular films as well๐Ÿ˜  . When I wrote "as well"  I was reminded of the story of the lady at the well. Jesus took time out to go and reach the unreachable!!!!!!!!

Mark 8:34...The Way of the Cross "Then He called the crowd to Him along with His disciples and said: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow."

Matthew 10 :38-39...Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

John 8:12...Dispute Over Jesus’ Testimony "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Abid Meditation :Anxious Thoughts

This is my all time lesson I had to learn 2 Corinthians 10:5.....I like reading different version

NLT....We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.

MSG...The world is unprincipled. It’s dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn’t fight fair. But we don’t live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren’t for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.

I love the message version and I wish I could say that I didn't live in a dog-eat-dog world, but I must be honest and I did. But since becoming a born again Christian I am trying to live a Godly life.

A scripture came to me Proverb 26:11.....As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool repeats his folly

This was me I kept on going back to the things that were making me sick.

Joseph Prince..Devotional

Day 10

Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies

Romans 8:33

God Is Not Judging You

Some people see God as a judge their wrongdoings. In the meantime, who has exacting demands on these sincere Christians struggle man. When they fall short or when with condemnation because when things go wrong in their lives, they think that they are the cause of their think that God is judging them. problems.

My friend, the truth is that if you are a believer, God does not bring any charge against you. Instead, He justifies you because of the blood of His Son. In fact, God's Word goes on to say that the One who has the right to condemn you, chose instead to die for you and is risen at the Father's right hand to be your righteousness! (Romans 8:34)

But what the devil tries to do is to get you to believe that God watches you with a critical eye and punishes you when you do wrong. He has deceived many sincere Christians into believing that if they have done something wrong, sickness or some other evil thing has a right to come upon them and their families. And when these things happen, he convinces them that they are suffering God's judgment because of

Nothing could be further from the truth. Ever since the cross, where Jesus was judged in your place for every one of your wrong actions, thoughts and words, God no longer judges you, His child. You need not accept condemnation or evil things happening to you because Jesus took all your punishment at the cross.

So when you start to feel condemned for your actions or when you experience negative circumstances, say, "It is written: It is God who justifies me. I am completely forgiven and made righteous before Him. I refuse to accept any condemnation and I reject every symptom of the curse that I am seeing in my circumstances!"

Then, simply stand on the truth of God's Word, and watch Him deliver and bless you!

Word For Today: God will bless you...if you listen and obey.

Thoughts on God's word (3)

Wednesday 10th August 2022

'God will bless you...if you listen and obey.' James 1:25 CEV

Your life must be governed by the word of God, not your impulses, or your thoughts, or the opinions of those around you. God's word, in the Bible, is not God's attempt to offer you interesting insights or good advice for your consideration; it's his fixed opinion.

Jesus said, 'Therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock' (Matthew 7:24 NKJV). This builder's foundation withstood life's storms. On the other hand, Jesus said, 'Everyone who hears these sayings of mine, and does not do them' is foolish and the storms of life will sweep them away (see Matthew 7:26-27 NKJV). Now, Jesus didn't condemn the second man for building an inadequate structure or failing to hear, understand, and believe his words, but for failing to act on them.

James writes, 'Obey God's message! Don't fool yourselves by just listening to it...God will bless you in everything you do, if you listen and obey, and don't just hear and forget' (James 1:2225 CEV). If you think reading, knowing and even believing God's word fulfils your obligation to it, you are mistaken. Because it's God's word, his instructions must be obeyed. That requires not just believing it but behaving according to it. James didn't say you would be blessed because of what you believe, but because of what you 'do'. When Moses read God's word to the Israelites, they said, 'All that the Lord has said we will do, and be obedient' (Exodus 24:7 NKJV). And that must be your rule for living, too.

Spirit Of Poverty/Being Content

I have been praying to God for discernment about the spirit of poverty and this morning meditation  https://abide.co/prayer/bznzro was from Philippians 4:11

It has help me to discover info that helped me to understand it more with a scriptual perspective..

In my Life Recovery Bible here is what I found when I was reading Philippians 4:11....

11.Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content whatever I have.

PHILIPPIANS 4:10-14

Some of us have never accepted the hurtful circumstances of our lives. We may be living in denial to avoid the pain. We continue to struggle against the painful realities, to rebel against who we are or what has happened to us. Others of us have accepted the bad, even to the point of feeling that it's normal and comfortable. And so we repeat the destructive cycles of behavior that follow from it.

The apostle Paul wrote: "I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. know how to live on almost nothing or with every thing. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little" (Philippians 4:11-12). When Paul wrote this, he was in a Roman prison waiting to hear if he would be executed. And yet we hear no whining or complaining. Instead, he learned to accept the circumstances he could not change.

The process of recovery is a time of learning to find serenity while also accepting life as it is. Life isn't always fair. It isn't predictable or controllable. It can be wonderfully rich in some ways and terribly diffi cult in others. When we become willing to face our hurts and consider how we have reacted to them, then our discomfort can lead us to break our destructive cycles. Then we can learn to be content with the things we cannot change.

Serenity is having an inner calm in the midst of the ups and downs of life. It involves learning to be content with the things in our lives that cannot be changed.

GOD grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference Amen

The Widows Offering "POVERTY"

wow in todays message from my devotional by Joseph Prince "THE ONE THING" it says "Jesus took your place of poverty at the cross".

Elaine told me at the prayer meeting last Friday (29th Aug 22) that I had a spirit of poverty. But I wasn't sure what she meant so I asked the lord to highlight it for me. At Church on Sunday Denise was talking about poverty (the video for Denise message is on on youtube : July 31st) She told the story of The Widows Offering Luke 21:1-4.

"He sat down opposite the treasury and observed how the crowd put money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums. A poor widow also came and put in two small coins worth a few cents. Calling his disciples to himself, he said to them, 'Amen, I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the other contributors to the treasury. For they have all contributed from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has contributed all she had, her whole livelihood.'

* In my Life Recovery Bible here the insight from Luke 21:1-4....

21:1-4 God has a unique standard by which he measures giving and givers. With God, attitude counts more than amount, so Jesus praised this widow. A generous person is not one who gives conveniently and comfortably out of abundance. A generous person in God's eyes risks all, sacrifices cheerfully, and gives without demanding attention or expecting a reward. Whether it's our time, talents, or money, God wants us to turn everything in our lives over to his care. One small step in giving may become one giant leap toward recovery.

Thank you Lord for showing me this. It is true your word is a lamp unto my feet,(Psalm 119:105)

My Lips Felt Burnt

After my day with Jen my lips started to burn and had to put balm on them. They are still a bit sore but not as bad as last night. But after my night with wrestling with God another scripture to me ....Jen and I mentioned it in our conversation yesterday.

He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven.”
Isaiah 6:7 NLT

Exodus: God's and Kings.

After writting in my journal I wanted to listen to The Book Of Exodus so I put it in Google and a film came up called Exodus: God's and Kings. The funny thing is last night before I went to sleep and woke up wrestling with God and hurting my hip. Me and James were talking about a certain actor called Christian Bale and guess what He is Moses in the film. Wow

So here are some insights from the film :

#An Egyptian man said "Hebrews are coniving combative people. Do you know what Israelites means in their own languag "He who fights with God" and Moses said  "He who wrestling with God there is a difference."

#Do you believe in coincidence.

#God said "What do you think of it...Moses said I wouldn't do it if I didn't agree...God said to Moses "That's true I've noticed that about  you, you don't always agree with me. Moses said "nor you with me I've noticed ...God says " But here we are still speaking"

Sit Quietly In My Presence

What's Your Calling ...Abide Meditation.

Today's Abide Meditation What's Your Calling. I love what she said "Proverb 20:5 The purpose of a person's heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out."

Wrestling With God....

I love when you find something that makes sense when your in a situation. While I was writting in my journal about last night about how my hip was sore and how Genesis 32:25 came to mind I found this link : Has God Giving You A Limp

Jacob was strong-willed and self- sufficient, but that wasn’t what God wanted in him. So the Lord arranged a night for Jacob to wrestle with a mysterious opponent, who eventually touched Jacob’s hip, causing him to have a limp for the rest of his life. Jacob had been relying on his own physical strength and mind, instead of on God. His limp not only generated his surrender, but also was a physical reminder of his struggle against God. Jacob never again schemed to attain the Lord’s blessings; instead, he ultimately trusted and depended on Him.

God will also “wrestle” us to break our will. And in our brokenness, He intends blessing for us. Because God is a good God, there is purpose in our suffering. Just as we discipline our children for their safety and for their future benefit, the Lord disciplines His children, too (Hebrews 12:5-11; Psalm 94:12).

Paul’s “thorn in his flesh” made him humbly rely on God’s grace and power. And God’s power is seen more clearly through weak people (2 Corinthians 12:7-10). Plus, the Lord desires our hearts and minds to be submitted to Him, which happens when we are in need, not self- reliance. Why does God want us to rely on Him? So that we remain spiritually close to Him and continue to mature in our faith as we learn to trust Him.

Our temporary lives seem to be a series of dealing with problems. As soon as one hurdle is cleared, there’s another. Yet, through each obstacle, our faith is refined and we learn more about God. That’s why man was primarily created — to have a personal relationship with the Lord.

Jesus referred to His followers as His sheep. Back then, sheep would be with their shepherd for years, which created a bond. Sheep would recognize and listen only to their shepherd’s voice, not anyone else’s. Thus, Jesus proclaimed, “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me” (John 10:14, 27). The longer we follow Jesus, the more we desire a closer relationship, and the more easily we recognize His voice with trusting obedience.

Are you like Jacob who struggled against God and His will, refusing to surrender because of your perceived independence? If you cannot wholeheartedly submit to God, be prepared to receive a “limp.” My limp was fibromyalgia. The fatigue, weakness and pain associated with this ailment certainly got my attention.

I wanted control — to plan and do things my way, but I became so feeble that I had no other choice than to turn to God and rely on Him for everything. When I finally surrendered to Him unreservedly, life became exciting and fulfilling because the Lord was so active in it. At first, He took away every symptom when I served Him in some role, and empowered me to perform the task. Now, the symptoms are mild, but I’ve developed a constant need for Him because He still enables me.

Having poor health and requiring God’s help taught me who is in control and who is not. I’m grateful for what He did to get my full dependence on Him. That new reliance initiated an intimate relationship with the Lord and has blessed me more than I could ever imagine. Experiencing God’s love in my heart, His power in my body, and the joy of serving Him in a whole new way is exhilarating.

Do you try to do everything in your own strength or do you trust God to work out your difficult situations in His way? Perhaps you’ve been trusting in yourself more than God, neglecting prayer, and not needing His help. Don’t wait to receive a debilitating limp before you submit to Him and receive His blessings. Remember that the Lord “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20). When you surrender your heart, mind and will to the Lord, amazing things happen.

Reflection Of My Walk With A Friend.

I woke up during the night and could not sleep and this came to me. I also wrote another blog called "Wrestling With God" because I was convicted of what happened during the day with my friend.

My friend reflected to me  A Haughty Spirit.

We were walking over to the town centre and a lady holding a child and pushing a buggy walked straight across our path. I moved out the way but my friend who is a lot younger than me got cross with her and would not budge and banged into her. Which I was like at her age I must admit. That's how this is a reflection for me ๐Ÿ˜ฑ.

The lady said sorry but when I looked at my friend she was angry and shaking her head and I thought about this quote. Which lead me to finding this blog by Margaret.

This lady could have been stressed out her box with the child she was carrying and didn't realise what she was doing. But my friend just couldn't see it. So yes it's better to be happy than right. I should know I spent years trying to be right and I was miserable ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

IS IT BETTER TO BE RIGHT OR HAPPY? THE ANSWER MAY SURPRISE YOU!

BY MARGARET MANNING SEPTEMBER 08, 2018

MINDSET

By the time we reach our 60th birthday, it’s natural to have well-formed opinions about the world. Many of us have strong political and religious views. Others have well-formed opinions about the sports teams that we support, the causes that we contribute to and the communities in which we live.

There is nothing wrong with this. After all, a large part of life is exploring your passions and discovering who you really are. The problem comes when your opinions become so strong that being right becomes more important than being happy

Do you ever find yourself getting frustrated because the other people in your life “just don’t get it?” Do you wonder why they just can’t see the “obvious” truth about the issues that are important to you? Maybe you fight with your kids about how they are raising your grandchildren. Or, perhaps you stay away from people who have political views that seem incompatible with your own.

Now, I’m not saying that you should never share your opinions with others on the issues that matter to you. I’m simply inviting you to be conscious about your beliefs and the impact that they have on others. If you are one of those people that are able to share your views, no matter how controversial to others, with a bright smile and a light heart, you’re probably doing fine.

But, if your discussions about politics, religion, values, family and society always seem to be tense and uncomfortable, you may be focusing too much on being right and not enough on being happy.

So, the next time you feel your blood getting hot during a discussion, remember this simple quote from Douglas Adams, “I’d far rather be happy than right any day.” Not only will you be happier, but, you may start to see that the people around you have valid points to share.

Alter and Door

The word Alter has came up a lot just now. And today song had this as it's picture

I'm the man with all I've ever wanted
All the toys and playing games
I am the one who pours your coffee
Corner booth each Saturday
I am your daughter's favourite teacher.

I'm the leader of the band
I sit behind you in the bleachers
I am every man
I'm the coach of every winning team
And still a loser in my mind
I am the soldier in the airport
Facing giants one more time
I am the woman shamed and haunted.

By the cry of unborn life
And every broken man
Nervous child, lonely wife
Is there hope for every man?
A solid place where we can stand
In this dry and weary land
Is there hope for every man?
Is there love that never dies?
Is there peace in troubled times?
Someone help me understand
Is there hope for every man?
It seems there's just so many roads to travel

It's hard to tell where they will lead
My life is scarred, my dreams unravelled
Now I am scared to take the lead
If I could find someone to follow
Who knows my pain and feels the way
The uncertainty of my tomorrow
The guilt and pain of yesterday
Is there hope for every man?
A solid place where we can stand
In this dry and weary land
Is there hope for every man?
Is there love that never dies?
Is there peace in troubled times?
Someone help me understand
Is there hope for every man?
There is hope for every man
A solid place where we can stand
In this dry and weary land
There is hope for every man
There is love that never dies
There is peace in troubled times
Will we help them understand
Jesus is hope for every man
There is hope for every man
A solid place where we can stand
In this dry and weary land
There is hope for every man
There is love that never dies
There is peace in troubled times
Will we help them understand
Jesus is hope for every man

Power in Your Words

This morning I learned words have power. At first I couldn't hear what God was trying to tell me because of the thunder this morning.

The Thunder I'm talking about was the messages I was getting bombarded with. I tried to switch off but this morning I've learned that we don't just hear God in the quite time we can hear him in the noisy thunder of life ๐Ÿ˜‡

This was the message I received today ...

Leaving My Prayer Room..1 August 2022.

When I was leaving my prayer room I looked at my table and these lyrics of a song came to mind.

"Oh come to the alter Jesus is calling"

Love One Another

Monday 01 Aug 2022

YOU ARE COMMANDED TO LOVE (1)

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. John 13:34 NKJV

Love is almost certainly the most misunderstood word in the world. We dilute its meaning by overuse: 'I love my wife, I love my country, I love pizza.' Giving and receiving love are difficult when we don't totally comprehend what it means.

So we need to clear up a couple of misconceptions. We think love is a feeling - a sentimental knot in your stomach. True love does create feelings, but it is more than a feeling. A second misconception is that love is uncontrollable. Have you ever said, 'I fell in love' - as if you had stumbled? We say, 'I can't help it if I'm in love,' or the opposite, 'I can't help it; I just don't love him (or her) anymore.' The fact that Jesus commands us to love one another means that we do have control over whom we love and whom we do not.

Love, at its core, is two things. First, love is a matter of choice. 'Over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity' (Colossians 3:14 NIV). Notice those two small words, 'put on'. Like you choose the clothes you wear each day, you choose the attitude you will display. So, love is controllable. Second, love is a matter of behaviour. 'Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth' (1 John 3:18 NIV). It works like this: when you reach out towards someone with genuine love and concern, your feelings towards that person change. And even if they don't return your love, God is pleased with you. That's reward enough.

I was reading today's word from UCB above and a song came to mind so I went onto YouTube to look for it but this advertisement caught my attention first. I don't usually bother with the adverts but this was interesting

LIFE IS LONG—IF YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT

Found this photo on this link   December 26th LIFE IS LONG—IF YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT  “It’s not at all that we have too...
