Having the right mindset

Set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things)... Colossians 3:2

 We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ... "Corinthians 10:5

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he...Proverb 23:7

In the last message for having the right mindset in the UCB it said God told Gideon to "Tear down the {OLD} altar of Baal that your father has" Judges 6:25 (nkjv) In its place Gideon built a new alter to the lord, and the lives of he and his family were changed forever. 

And by programming your mind with Gods Word , you can do the same. Gideon was the weakest of his family but God choose him. God does not call leaders because they are strong and capable. God calls leaders because He sees what He can do through them. He can do it with us also...This is why I love this scripture... 1 Corinthians 1:27

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty...
