This morning when I was reading the word for today from my UCB booklet. I was confused it said the jesus was invited to Simon the pharisees house for a meal and a woman who was a sinner washed jesus feet.
But I just watched an episode from the Chosen and it was in lazurus house were Mary his sister anointed his feet. But then I found this link which help me understand it more...
Then when I was reading the word again this stood out...
"MAN MADE RELIGION CONDEMNED THIS WOMAN BECAUSE OF HER PAST, BUT JESUS CLEANSED HER AND MADE HER WHOLE."
...because of what a lady said to me yesterday when i went to the South Parish Church. She said dont tell people about you being an alcoholic and Vincent a herion addict...people might not like you. And I said if they don't like me that's their problem not mines. Because its not people like that I want to be friends with then anyhow.
So now I know how I was not ashamed telling my story at that church. As Marion Lawrie said to me the other day I'm not that person anymore I've been forgiven from my sins because of jesus. Marion was behaving just like Jesus. Because jesus loved me from the start and He knows a lot more about me. 😉
Then I read today's Celebrate Recovery Devotional.
