This morning i wrote in my journal about when i go over to hillhouse i feel my old ways coming back. Back bitting and gossiping about each other.

And i noticed that i am not full of the fruit of the Spirit. Because if i was i would find freedom from it.

Then todays verse Galations 5:13 tells me exactly this plus verse 15 tells me exsctly ehat i had written early this morninv

Groundhog Day Revisited

"I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame."

PSALM 34:4-5

When Then you think of Groundhog Day, what comes to mind? The movie, right? Can you imagine living the same day over and over again? I can! Only in my life, I am the guy who kept walking around the corner and coming face-to-face with a guy holding a baseball bat. That guy took a swing at me and made contact every time. It didn't matter how many times I got hit. I always believed the lie that somehow "this time he would miss. And yet, it kept happening over and over.

Of course, I'm not really talking about a guy with a baseball bat. I'm talking about getting knocked in the head by the same old hurts, hang-ups, and habits. Finally in my recovery, I realized the path I was taking was not working, and it was time for change. My pain had to become greater than my fear of change. I finally got tired of the bloody noses and emotional bruises inflicted on me by my poor choices. I had to come to grips with the truth that no matter how hard I tried, nothing was going to change until I changed my course and allowed Christ to fight for me.

We don't have to relive the painful consequences over and over again. Pain may be inevitable in our lives, but walking into a baseball bat is not. We can choose to go another way.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I surrender to you my bullheaded resistance to change. Show me how to walk away from the hurtful behavior of the past. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We are doing the Psalm at Church. The one I choose is Psalm 139. I choose this because of the gift Evyone gave me one day at church. She didnt know me at that time, but she said she was prompted to give me it. It was a piece of decking and on it was Psalm 139:14 and a sunflower 🌻

If you study famous musicians, you'll often find that they learned their craft by playing in a band or orchestra. That's because certain skills - learning to blend with other instruments, keeping tempo, learning to play louder or softer, following the conductor's lead - can only be learned by playing with others. And what's true of a band or orchestra is even truer of a community of believers.

Jesus illustrated this in his parable of the talents (see Matthew 25:14-30). One man was given five talents and ended up with ten. Another man was given two talents and ended up with four. A third man was given one talent, and he buried it. In a sense, Jesus was talking about people playing their parts and how important that is to God's kingdom. Not everyone plays the same instrument, and not everyone has the same part. Some instruments are louder than others, and some parts are bigger than others. It's not how much you have that matters to Jesus; it's what you do with what you have that matters to him.

There are no insignificant talents in God's kingdom. Our talents may differ in number, but they all come from the same source. All Jesus wants you to do is play your part. He does not expect the same results, but he does expect the same effort. He never compares you with anyone else. He compares you only with you. I was watching a DVD called What if you walked Free by Dawna De Silva and I recorded this part on my mobile Recording because it stood out for me because of the pen I found early......

Obedience To God..Joshua 1:7-9

Fruit Of The Spirit

Ann,

“You have felt the pain of pruning. I have removed people, places, and mindsets that have been stumbling blocks to your spiritual growth. For every branch I have pruned becomes even more fruitful,” says the Spirit of the Lord.

“I am refining you to bring you clarity, and to reveal who you really trust and follow. The pain of pruning will not be wasted. It has produced a deeper dependence on Me, increased your trust, and strengthened your faith in Me.

You have desired a wider reach, a reach that comes from the maturity of the branch. To walk in righteous boldness, to speak with purity, truth and power. Carrying the weight of My glory cannot be done by branches that aren't mature. Show now the fruit that comes from remaining in Me and I in you.”

Activation: Ask the Lord to show you what you look like as His branch in the spirit. Ask Him what fruit you are producing well. Ask the Lord to show you if there are any fruit not growing and if so, why. Allow space for the Lord to show you what needs to be cut off or pruned back to allow for spiritual maturity.

John 15:2 (NIV) “He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.”

THANK ME for the conditions that are requiring you to be still. Do not spoil these quiet hours by wishing them away, waiting impatiently to be active again. Some of the greatest works in My kingdom have been done from sick beds and prison cells. Instead of resenting the limitations of a weakened body, search for My way in the midst of these very circumstances. Limitations can be liberating when your strongest desire is living close to Me.

Quietness and trust enhance your awareness of My Presence with you. Do not despise these simple ways of serving Me. Although you feel cut off from the activity of the world, your quiet trust makes a powerful statement in spiritual realms. My Strength and Power shots themselves most effective in vorakness.
