#3 Power Thought...9th February 2021.

You Can Bless Yourself

So [it shall be] that he who invokes a blessing on himself in the land shall do so by saying, May the God of truth and fidelity [the Amen] bless me....Isaiah 65:16

There is a life principle in the above Scripture you can carry into every area you desire victory: nobody's words have as much authority in your life as your own. Learn to bless yourself by speaking only words that contain God's power and will for your life.

Words are containers for power. Proverbs 18;12 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]." And with power comes responsibility. God has given you words, and He expects you to be accountable for the power carried in them.

Take notice of things you say throughout your day because what you say does matter to you and your well-being. When you speak about your situation, say what you believe Jesus would say, and you will open the door for the miracle-working power of God.

Power Thought : I am blessed with miracle-working power.

#2 Plan "How To Love People You Disagree With"...9thFebruary 2021.

Grace and Truth

We live in a world of individual classrooms, because we get to be taught by the experiences of others. Some of us have endured traumatic events in our lives and because of God’s grace, we have survived, been redeemed, and made completely new in Christ! This isn’t the case for everyone. The very pain and turmoil some have experienced is what led them to turn from God. Because of that, their viewpoint will look quite differently from ours as followers of Jesus.

When we encounter people with a belief that is contrary to ours, we must understand that we're representing Jesus, and we might be the catalyst God uses to change their lives. This is where truth, covered in grace, comes in. Often, when people disagree with us, our anger rises and we want to defend our beliefs and even our God. It’s in these moments where we can, and should, speak the truth, but simultaneously allow the Holy Spirit to lead us so that we won’t cave into our sinful desires. When we walk according to the Spirit’s leading, we’ll exhibit His fruit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

If we find ourselves in a discussion with someone who clearly has different beliefs than us, it’s okay to admit that we don't have all the answers. As followers of Jesus, we don’t know everything about God. If we did, we’d be Him. But, as Pastor Andy Stanley says, “You don’t have to understand everything to believe in something.” So, be honest and let them know that you’re still learning and growing in your faith.

Ultimately, having people in our lives we don’t agree with actually makes us stronger. If we only surround ourselves with people we always agree with, we’ll never be stretched. And as we learn from others, it’s okay if our viewpoints change. Maybe we hear someone’s viewpoint about a political issue that differs from ours, and we decide that we actually agree with them. But, as followers of Christ, we have to remember that adopting our own version of the truth is not what God has called us to. We always line up our views with a godly perspective. We are to live according to His truth.

As followers of Jesus, are we more passionate about our beliefs on certain hot topics that we forget that we’re to love others? If we’re more concerned with our stance than we are with loving the people God sent His Son to die for, then we have truly missed the mark. These desires can never outweigh our spiritual calling. If they do, we’re glorifying earthly issues instead of glorifying our Heavenly Father.

Romans 8:5‭-‬15 NIV...Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.  You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.  Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.  For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “ Abba, Father.”

Galatians 5:22‭-‬23 NIV...But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

6th February 2021#4...Reflection Song out of Mulan. Plus one I've never heard Christina singing

I love this song its been with me for years......💖

Never seen this one before. here is the lyrics :

Lyrics
War is not freedom
Over my shoulder
I see a clearer view
All for my family
Reason I'm breathing
Everything to lose
Should I ask myself in the water
What a warrior would do?
Tell me, underneath my armor
Am I loyal, brave and true?
Am I loyal, brave and true?
Losing is easy
Winning takes bravery
I am a tiger's fool
Out in the open
No one to save me
The kindest of whispers are cruel
Should I ask myself in the water
What a warrior would do?
Tell me, underneath my armor
Am I loyal, brave and true?
Am I loyal, brave and true?
Cold is the morning
Warm is the dream
Chasing the answers
'Til I can't sleep
Will I be stronger
Or will I be weak
When you're not with me?
Who am I without my armor?
Standing in my father's shoes
All I know is that it's harder
To be loyal, brave and true

6th February 2021 #1...In my Notification This Morning.

I woke up this morning and this was in my notifications. Todays Bible Verse..

Then this Joyce Meyer video started to play. I was going to stop it but I heard her say

"Some people dont know how to receive correction without letting it condemn them"

Loved it got a lot out of this video
* God helps us through correction
*In the Bible it says "God only corrects the ones He loves.
*A spiritual mature person will be glad of correction.
*Repent and be very glad he corrected You.
* All I needed to do was agree with Him and pray..God Change Me.

*We all have the right to have an opinion without the pressure from someone else to have it be their opinion.

*One of the reason is we have a spirit  of rejection in our lives. We dont like it when other people dont agree with us, we feel rejected when they do.( I have a book called breaking the bondage of rejection. Think I need to read it)

* Just because they dont agree with everything you believe in dosent mean that they are rejecting you

* When someone doesn't agree with you...instead of fighting: say I respect that ..your a right to have your opinion.

*Your opinion is just what your thinking - But it might not be right

1. Be courteous and respectful of other peoples opinions
2.Listen with an open mind.
3. Be willing to pray
4. Dont be touchy and easily offended.
5. Look for something nice in the other person
6. Be careful about voice tones, body language and corse words.
7. Pick the right time...not when the other person is tired or in pain.
8. Get over about being selfish.

POWER OF AGREEMENT IS A WONDERFUL THING.

5th February 2021: Verse For Today

Deuteronomy 6:5 NLT...And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.

Author : Moses

Every day Life Principles.
Blessings and curses are set before us. We need to choose life and continually make good, godly decisions.

We do not live " by bread alone" in other words, real life is not in our passions, position, or worldly prestige, but in knowing God, fellowship with Him and trusting Him.

We do not need to strive to be blessed. When we obey God, blessings come as long are we are seeking Him for Who He is and not what he can do for us.

5th Febuary 2021..Song after this morning 😪😪

Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus

The Story Of My Fingers.

On the 31st of January my finger tips are really very sensitive to things I'm touching, it's so annoying. They are very red like they are on fire. Now my lips are like it to.

So I google it and I found this site about  Fingers. I can relate to some of it. It says

" THE PEOPLE WHO STORE THEIR EMOTIONS IN THEIR FINGER TIPS".

When I was writting the above I remembered something Marcella said at a Celebrate Recovery Group.

"THOUGHTS UNRAVEL THROUGH THE LIPS AND FINGER TIPS"

When I'm writting this I realised my lips are the exact same as my finger tips!!!

So it's TRUE when you write or speak out things do unravel.🙂

A little later I was reading the book I got at Cherish. Every year I went Charlotte Gamble gave every woman at that conference a gift and I still have them.

Cherish is a Christian Woman Convention I went too. The ladies of the Kings Church arranged it, and I was blessed for the first two years I went to it, someone had paid for my trip.

We went for four days and the hotel we stayed in was just amaising. The third year I saved up to go I didnt want to get it a third time free I wanted someone else to be blessed.

A lady called Marion was like a fairy godmother to me when I was at that church.

So as I was saying I was reading from a book called Breath by Charlotte Gamble. It is a devotional book and the page that I had read that day said

"We need to become more intentional..not wasting our words (and emotions..added by me) but planting them.

So this is why I am writting about my feeling just now. I want to unravel the thoughts I have in my head!! I want to be intentional.

So let's see what unravels when I am writting. I had writting this down first on paper because of what Marcella said about when we write things down on paper our thoughts start to unravel.

So when I was reading some of the info from the site I found about Fingers these point stood out ....

# depending on what we're feeling, we experience a mild sense of pleasure or displeasure...Research has shown that these preferences  can have measurable effects, influencing our moods and how we relate to others.

# it makes sense that the word feeling can refer to an emotion

#so I feel that my emotions are causing me to be touchy with certain people.

# its annoying when I touch certain materials (people)

#certain people are making me cringe.

#So when I am cringing people around me are making me very annoyed!!!!!

4th February 2021...#3

The picture above was what I had written to Louise. Then when I opened my Bible at today verse Acts 4:11.

I couldn't believe what I read by Joyce Meyer for putting the word to work for the verse after Acts 4:12

Acts 4:12...The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.

And here below is what she said.

This is exactly the answer I need 😇🙏

4th Febuary 2021...#2

Hello and welcome to the Abide Meditation...I'm Bonnie Curry.

Justified by Faith
Galatians 3:11
Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by law, for the righteous shall live by faith.

Ever think as law as a gift. I know but biblical speaking God's law is a gift that He gave to His people. It was a gift that allowed them to learn who He was and how they ought to live life in the light of that.

But the presence of the law can lead you to think your righteousness depends on your perfection. Paul writes to the galatians to insure they dont believe so.

Galatians 3:11

That law is indeed a gift to learn Gods heart, but your salvation comes by faith.

Alright take this opportunity to slow down and reflect on whether you lean towards a law driven life or a faith driven life.

Take a slow deep breath good. Find rest in the beauty that you are not justified by works but by faith. Let the gift of Gods grace rest on you.

Take a moment to ask God to speak to you through His word today. For the righteous shall live by faith is an invitation to take God at his word and believe that He is faithful.  The righteous, the ones who walk with God are the ones that let faith guide their lives, let it be so for you.

Please pray with me, Father God thank you for your abundant gifts, both the gift of the law that allows us to know you and for the gift of grace that justifies us through faith. We are dependant on you Lord. We ask today that you would grant us the gift of faith to see you clearly and to recognise your hand of favor in our lives. Thank you for your word in Christ name we pray Amen.

Ok take a moment to refocus as you continue to receive from God today. Let your focus shift off your tasks and to do lists and right now centre your thoughts on God and His word.

Do that by taking a slow deep breath and opening your hands in a posture of openness to God.

As you reflect on the goodness of God remember that the presence of the law is a result of the curse of sin. Take a moment today to acknowledge your struggle with sin and your dependence on the grace of God.

Confess to God any pride or selfishness or greed that's shifted your focus from God to self. Thank your Father for the gift of your grace that followed the gift of the law.

I recognise your hand of guidance in my life through both of these things and ask for your goodness to continue leading me to walk as the righteous  ones walked.  May the law remind me of your character and may your grace remind me of your son Jesus. Whose life enables me to walk by faith. I love you Lord....Amen

My friends respond to God today by choosing to shift your focus from uncertainty to faith. Receiving grace from God to do so. And untill next time may you abide in Christ Jesus.

2nd February 2021...#3

Let’s Choose the Big Picture

It’s no secret that our world seems more divided than ever. Whether it’s political parties that can’t agree on a nation’s budget or religious groups that spew hatred toward each other, there always seems to be a tension in the relational, spiritual, and political climate of our world.

In this Plan, we’ve discussed several different things to incorporate into our relationships with people we don’t agree with. Loving people because Jesus called us to, showing respect by managing our demeanor, avoiding fruitless arguments, and empathizing with others to see life from their lens are all wise and helpful approaches. It seems too difficult a task to put differences aside, but it isn’t.

We could pre-decide that we’re going to choose people over policies and relationships over rules.  What if…

...we exhibited patience?
...we chose not to be offended?
...we quit taking everything so personally?
..we changed the degrading way we talk to others?
...we focused on what we did have in common?
...we chose the big picture?

Let’s not forget that God so loved...the world. Every single soul on this planet, past, present, and future, He loves. While we’ll never have His capacity to love people, we are still called to love others.

Followers of Jesus can’t quote enough Bible verses to force someone to believe in Jesus. What we can do is represent Jesus by showing love, respect, and empathy, all covered with equal parts truth and grace.

At the end of the day, the point of loving people we disagree with is unity. Whether the issue is petty or prominent, we can choose people first. Because if we, as followers of Jesus, want people to know our Savior and Lord the way we do, that’s where we have to start. Let’s represent Jesus well so that others want to know Him. And when they do, the Holy Spirit is quite capable of leading them to adjust any viewpoints that are inconsistent with His truth.

But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”  For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.

Romans 8:9‭-‬18 NLT ...But you are not controlled by your sinful nature.

Hebrews 12:14 NLT : Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.

#2 Abide Meditation :

Monday 1st February 2021...#2

#2... Abide Meditation this morning, here is its contents
THE GOSPEL MESSAGE

Galatians 2:21(NLT) :I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping  the law could make us right with God then there was no need for Christ to die

Hear the good news of the Gospel of Christ by Melissa Disney....

Salvation is a free gift of God's  grace, you cant earn it, you can only accept it. Let God transform your life.

When Paul wrote to the church in Galactica they were in danger of treating the vibrant spiritual spiritual life for strick rule keeping.

But acting like you can perform your way into Gods kingdom,  is like acting like Gods grace isn't powerful enough to save you.

That's why Paul writes" I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.

Take a moment and let that message sink in. Let it free you from shame. Perhaps you have failed to follow God well. Perhaps you have given into sin once again. Perhaps you find anger and impatience and hatred rising up in your heart.

But if your beating yourself up over failure, your acting like Gods grace isn't enough. Gods grace is enough in Jesus life, death and resurrection  you've been saved.

Your old self was crucified with Christ, now you live in Him. It's in union with Jesus that true everlasting life is found.

Pray with me: God your grace is beyond what I can comprehend. Its so easy for me to begin to think that I need to do more or be more in order for you to love me. Help me to cling to the good news of the Gospel.

The truth that Jesus has already accomplished my Salvation, and all I need to do is accept it. Thank you God in Jesus name I pray.

Close your eyes if you can and be present here. Feel the gentleness of your breath and put your hands out in front of you with your palms up. Remember the words of the old hymm" Nothing in my hands I bring simply to the cross I cling"

If you've been trusting in your own goodness rather than trusting in God. Confess that now. Confess any sins that have been troubling you and trust that Godwill always forgive.

You are a child of God through faith in Jesus. In all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.  This is your new life forgiving and beloved without blemish before God.

Pray with me, God thank you for the freedom that comes from accepting that your grace is sufficient.  Thank you that I dont have to be good for you to love me. Thank you for coming to earth and taking on human flesh and reconciling  me to you in the life and death of Jesus.

Help me to walk in freedom and love in Jesus name I pray. Amen

Jesus loved you and gave Himself for you, that's the good news rest in it today

Untill next time may you abide in Christ.

#2...Verse For Today : 1 Peter 4:16 (NLT)...it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!

Clear Consciousness . .

#2 : This morning I was watching a video of Eugene H Peterson and this stood out to me.
Isaiah 53:2...For He [the Servant of God] grew up before Him like a tender shoot (plant), And like a root out of dry ground; He has no stately form or majestic splendor That we would look at Him, Nor [handsome] appearance that we would be attracted to Him.

At 11:29 in the video Eugene said "Art is making visible what's  invisible in the life of faith and thats the most important thing about faith. Its between me and you and God

But you cant see it, but you can see it when it's not there. There's no relationship, or there's criticism,  or anger, or something negative.

And I just think that word "BETWEEN" is just really a powerful concept to understand the nature of what we are at, all the time.

Authenticity = Being yourself. Your stuck with yourself so get to know yourself and live life with no regrets. (Amaising my taxi driver had this as a tattoo on his neck) and also it reminded me of Jiminy Cricket. He just wanted to be himself, he wanted to be good. He is the small voice inside of you  (your consciousness).

The verse that also stood out from yesterdays came to mind there ... This is my conscion talking...😇
