Healing Prayer 31st October 2019
This morning I was in pain again and was worrying about my weight. And I asked God for a scripture to help me.
I was thinking Im not really a big eater so why is the weight piling on. Then I rememebered Pastor David Sermon one day at the kings .
He said to loose a couple of stones in piritual weight we need to drop stones of resentment, anger, hate , guilt ect.....
so the Scripture that came to me was Mattthew 15:10 "Jesus called the crowd to him and said "Listen and understand."What goes into someone' mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them"
Defile meaning : Damage the purity or appearance of, mar or spoil.
So Lord please put an guard over my heart and mouth so I can heal. For thy glory !!
I was reading the rest of Matthew 15 and I started to read about The Canaanite Woman in verse 21-28.
The lady was asking Jesus to heal her daughter who was demon possessed and was suffering terribly. And Jesus said at first "It is not right to take the children bread and toss it to the dogs," but the lady said "Yesit is, Lord,"even the dogs eats the crumbs that fall from their master table" Then Jesus said to her, "Woman, you have great faith! Your requestis granted." Ad her daughter was healed at that moment.

Distractions....
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” PHILIPPIANS 4:6–7
The used snowplow I bought for our driveway needed some work before it would be 100 percent usable. That was on my mind as I sat down with my wife for our daily devotional time together. My mind kept drifting, and then I came to these words in the devotional I was reading from: “Each time you plow your way through the massive distractions to communicate with me, you achieve victory.” Isn’t that great? God used the very words I was reading to get my attention back to where it needed to be.
This happens during prayer time as well. In fact, a friend told me that every time he starts praying, his mind drifts to something else. I told him I know exactly what he’s talking about. Sometimes I’ll be in prayer and my mind will drift to a cabinet I’m making or some other project.
I’m sure we all have trouble staying focused at times. From now on when it happens to me, I’m going to stop and say, “Sorry about that, Father. I’m back, and I really want to stay focused. Please help me.” I believe God knows that we struggle with this and just like he used the words of that devotional to speak to me, he will find a way to help us get back on track when we ask him.
PRAYER Father, thank you for helping me stay focused on you during our time together. I don’t want distractions to keep me from receiving all you have for me. In Jesus name, Amen.

Word For Today
Shout for joy today!
Sunday 27th October 2019
'He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.' Psalm 107:20 NIVWhatever you do, never lose your appetite for Bible preaching: 'Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God' (Romans 10:17 NKJV). It boggles the unregenerate mind to watch the preached word transform the most dysfunctional people into productive members of society. And most of the time God does all this while maintaining a veil of secrecy that protects our reputation and public perception. How gracious! Can you imagine how shocked people would be if they really knew the shape we were in when God found us? Only his power could have forced open the snare that had entrapped our minds and set us free to live again.
David declared, 'He sent out his Word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave... give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love' (Psalm 107:20-21 NIV). His Word provides cleansing for our shame, makes us righteous and gives us a roadmap to our destiny. Because of him, you matter. Because of him, you have nothing to fear. If anybody has a right to shout for joy today - it's you
#What stood out in this message was....Only his power could have forced open the snare that had entrapped our minds and set us free to live again. It stood out because this is what Pastor Micheal Of Living Waters said to me about the situation with Taw.
The Scripture Pastor Micheal gave me was Proverb 6: 1~6 and it was verse 5 that says "free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler"
#Plus also"Get out of the Grave" I have been lisening to a video a friend callled Steven gave me by Tasha Cobbs called "Girl Get Up" and it tells us to get up out of the grave. It is an amasing video
So my message today from The Word .......is to get out of that grave the devil has snared me in and take back my Joy that he has stolen from me. By praying Psalm 107:20 :"He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.

We may fail—let me change that—we will fail! That’s a fact. But the good news is that God will never fail us! We are imperfect. If we think we aren’t, we can ask our loved ones and accountability partners or sponsors. God, on the other hand, is perfect—completely and unfailingly perfect! God has promised never to fail us, but what does that mean, exactly?
Does it mean he will never let us struggle? Does it mean he will never let us have losses? Does it mean he will never let us get into financial trouble? Does it mean he won’t let us suffer the consequences of our actions and behaviors? It does not! We will have struggles, losses, problems, consequences, but he will always be with us—no matter what we face.
When we make poor choices, we have to face the consequences. When others make poor choices that affect us, we may have to face the hurt. But God will always be there to pick us up, dust us off, and put us back on our feet again. And we can help ourselves by seeking his will before we make a potentially risky choice and by setting appropriate boundaries for those we know are not always safe to be around.
PRAYER Father, I believe your words of promise that you will always be there for me. Show me how to live wisely. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

IN PAIN 23rd OCTOBER 2019...
My back was really painfull today, so I decided to look up my Louise Hay Book for the negative thought patterns what I'm supposed to be thinking.
But its so funny all what it said I could relate too...but what I did was replace the new age saying to a Christ Centred Affirmations
Here what the first and end ones say
First One : I am centred and calm and balanced. The universe approves of me. I trust my higher self. All is Well
My Christian One : I am Centered and Balanced Because God Approves Of Me. I Trust Jesus. And All Is Well Because I Am filled with The Holy Spirit
Last One : I bring my life into balance by loving myself. I live in today and love who I .am.
This one was A little bit harder because I don't love myself!!!!
Then The Holy Spirit gave me Ephesians 5:29.....For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church.
And he also imprinted on me that I AM A CHILD OF GOD and that I should love myself and my body and stop talking negative stuff over myself.
When anyone spoke about my children in a negative way I wasn't happy. I could tell them off, but that was because they were my sons.
So I am God's Daughter so I need to not stop letting others and my own negative self talk ruin my life.
This is what Pastor Micheal said at church on Sunday the 20th October 2019. Here is a link to that blog I did about the sermon :
https://followerofjesus1961.blogspot.com/2019/10/chur.html
As long as my Papa is happy with me that's enough. I like calling him Papa its becaused I watched a film called "The Shack"
I was also given theses verses and I love the message they gave me.
Its so funny because when I went to look them up it was The Message Version that I got.
Then my message from my perpetual Calender " Mary's heart in a Martha's Worls" helped also
Love for God. Love for others. Worship and Service. These are the two ends of our treetrotter. Though Love for God comes first the two canteen separated. One flowsfrom the other-and back again. Thats what it means to live a balanced life. A Christ like life.
This says it aĺl. Thank you Holy Spirit for opening my eyes to the truth.
LIVING WATERS CHURCH 20TH OCTOBER 2019.
Pointers I got from the message Micheal was given
# Proverb 18:21 New International Version (NIV)
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue
keeps himself out of trouble.
it is his folly and shame.

Practical Warnings
1 My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor,
2 if you are snared in the words of your mouth,
caught in the words of your mouth,
3 then do this, my son, and save yourself,
for you have come into the hand of your neighbor:
go, hasten,[a] and plead urgently with your neighbor.
4 Give your eyes no sleep
and your eyelids no slumber;
5 save yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,[b]
like a bird from the hand of the fowler.

My You Version 7 Day Reading Plan "Jesus In Me"
Day 1......Loving the Person of the Holy Spirit
I’ve heard the Holy Spirit spoken of as an “it,” a feeling, a dove, a flame, a ghost, an emotion, or even an ecstatic experience. He is frequently referred to as the third person of the Trinity, as though He is a postscript to the more significant Father and Son. All of which is inaccurate.
While the Holy Spirit may be symbolized by a dove or flame, while His presence may be accompanied by an emotion or feeling or ecstatic experience, He Himself is distinctly separate from those things. The Holy Spirit is not a thing but a person. So at the outset of our exploration of who the Holy Spirit is, we need to be clear that we are not speaking of an “it.” We are speaking of a “He.” He is a living person. He is referred to as the third person of the Trinity not because He is the least but because He is the third person to be more fully revealed in Scripture.
In the Old Testament, although the Holy Spirit and God the Son—the living Word who became Jesus in the flesh—are present, it is God the Father who is primarily revealed. In the Gospels, while the Father and the Holy Spirit are certainly present, it is God the Son who is primarily revealed. Beginning with Acts and the epistles, although God the Father and God the Son are also present, it is primarily God the Holy Spirit who is revealed.
If the Holy Spirit is a person with an intellect, will, and emotions, what is He really like? What is His personality? What are His responsibilities? Are you intrigued by this mysterious person? I know I have been and still am.
One of my deepest, richest joys has been discovering who the Holy Spirit is in every step of my life’s journey. What a delight to see how each name that He has been given in Scripture—Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counselor, Strengthener, and Standby—shows us more of His character. Experiencing the reality and power of the Holy Spirit has provoked in me a deep love for the One who is always present…Jesus in me.
As you read the names of the Holy Spirit, what name catches your attention as Someone you especially want to turn to in your life today? Why do you think that is?
You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.
1 Peter 1:8 MSG
You never saw him, yet you love him. You still don’t see him, yet you trust him—with laughter and singing. Because you kept on believing, you’ll get what you’re looking forward to: total salvation.
Day 2......Enjoying the Presence of the Holy Spirit
I grew up in the mountains of western North Carolina. Most of my memories are filled with warmth, love, and fun that included hiking with my family to the ridge behind the house, enjoying Chinese meals complete with chopsticks, and playing Bible games with my grandparents.
One thing I don’t remember is being taught about the Holy Spirit, even though Jesus was central to my family.
It was not until years later when I was teaching a weekly Bible class that I learned the amazing truth of who the Holy Spirit is. I was twenty-nine years old and doing my best to convey insights into the gospel of John for the five hundred women who sat before me each Wednesday. In hindsight, I was like the blind leading the blind.
One week I was cramming as usual in preparation to teach John 14 to my class. And there it was! Several thoughts came to me in quick succession as I read John 14:16–17…
…That the Spirit was another counselor.
…That the Spirit was a distinct person from Jesus but just like Him.
…That the Spirit would come from the Father.
…That the Spirit was with the disciples at that time but would be in them at a future time.
The Spirit would be “another” counselor. So who was the first counselor, who would make the Spirit another one? Jesus! The Spirit would be exactly like Jesus yet another distinct person. He would come down from God. Even as Jesus had come down from God in human form, the Spirit would come down from God in spirit form. Jesus clearly identified the Counselor as the Holy Spirit (John 14:26). The disciples already knew Him because Jesus was filled with the Spirit. They were with Jesus; therefore, they were already with the Spirit. But Jesus was announcing that a day would come when they would no longer be with the Spirit because the Spirit would be sent to indwell them.
What an amazing, wonderful discovery that still thrills me! It is more than worthwhile to give the Holy Spirit our attention so we can get to know Him, love Him, and enjoy the presence of the One who is Jesus in me—and in you.
How does it change your view of the day or week ahead to know that Jesus is
in you?
John 14:15-17 MSG
The morning after the wedding, we were scheduled to catch a plane out of Atlanta that would take us to San Diego, where we would spend the remainder of our honeymoon. After a quick breakfast, we got into Danny’s baby-blue Oldsmobile Starfire convertible and headed south on Interstate 85 toward Atlanta.
An hour or so into the drive, I noticed the gas gauge was hovering near empty. Within minutes, we felt the car jerk, heard the engine cough, and then everything went silent as Danny guided the gliding car to the shoulder of the highway. We had run out of gas!
By the time Danny returned from a distant gas station to fill the tank, I was nauseated from the smell of the swamp beside the road, soaking wet from having been locked in a car in the sweltering heat, and if someone had offered me an annulment, I would have taken it on the spot!
On that first day of marriage, I learned a simple but valuable life lesson: no one can run on empty. You and I can’t run on empty in a car or in a marriage or in life. Which is why God has given us His Holy Spirit. He is the “fuel”—the power—that enables us to live the Christian life.
Although you have said your vows of commitment to the Lord Jesus and entered into a personal relationship with Him, do you find yourself running on empty? With a fake smile on your lips and the “proper” words on your tongue, are you just trying to make it one more week…one more day…one more hour…one more step? Is your mind gripped by the thought I can’t do this. I’m just not cut out to live the Christian life?
Don’t be discouraged. There is hope! The One who is within you will enable you to live out the vows you have made.
In what ways are you “running on empty” right now? Ask God to fill you with His presence, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
Acts 1:7-8 MSG
He told them, “You don’t get to know the time. Timing is the Father’s business. What you’ll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.”
Day 4......Embracing the Purpose of the Holy Spirit
I remember, early in our marriage, lying in bed gazing out the window late at night with my husband quietly sleeping beside me. I looked up at the star-studded sky and felt a longing for something more. It was a yearning that was not completely satisfied by the birth of our first child or the Sunday night Bible study we offered in our home for university athletes or the Thursday morning Bible study I shared with several other young women my age. Actually, the routine of responsibility—making the bed, fixing breakfast, washing the dishes, going to work, doing the laundry, fixing supper, washing the dishes, crawling in bed, going to sleep, then repeating the entire litany of responsibility the next day—just intensified my yearning.
Looking back, I know that the yearning in the deep well of my being was a yearning for a life of significance, for a cause to live for that was bigger than myself. It was a yearning for purpose.
Have you, too, sensed a restless emptiness deep within? We all do at times. One reason is that we are created in the image of God, with a capacity to know Him in a personal, permanent relationship, for the purpose of bringing Him glory. Until that purpose is fulfilled, we will be empty, deeply dissatisfied, and unfulfilled as we continually try to fill the void with substitutes.
But what about those of us who have established a personal, permanent relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ? Why are some of us also restless and dissatisfied, yearning for something greater? The only viable answer seems to be the Holy Spirit, who begins to work in us a desire to live for a purpose greater than ourselves.
In some ways, our lives are like a symphony. And the Holy Spirit is the conductor. He is the one who brings forth the beautiful music of a life that glorifies God. Like the conductor pointing his baton, the Holy Spirit quickens us, guides us, ignites us, shapes us, and equips us until our lives resound with the glory of the Lord. This is the yearning we each have deep within us, the desire to glorify God with our lives.
When have you felt most purposeful in your life? Why do you think that was?
2 Corinthians 3:16-18 MSG
Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are—face-to-face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.
While I can’t remember the specific year that I confessed my sin, claimed Jesus as my Savior, and invited Him to live in my heart, I do remember, following that decision, I began to have a strong desire to read my Bible. That began a lifelong love affair with God’s Word.
Every day without fail, my mother led our family in devotions. She would gather everyone who was in the house into the kitchen, where she would read a portion of Scripture, then pray. The consistency of my mother’s effort, as well as her obvious love for God’s Word and belief in its relevancy for all of us as we began our day, made a deep impact.
When my father was home, he led family devotions, usually in the evening. He also would read a portion of Scripture, but he would then stop, ask questions, make comments, and lead us in a discussion of what he had read.
By her example my mother taught me to love and read my Bible every day—preferably in the morning. My father, by his example, taught me to think about what I was reading. Those two life lessons are perhaps the most valuable ones my parents handed down to me.
My first “real” Bible was a navy leather-bound King James Version, Scofield edition. Mother and Daddy gave it to me at my baptism. It is a treasure that I still have safely on my bookshelf. In the flyleaf, my mother wrote these words: To Anne—(who on this January 13, 1957 publicly took her stand for Christ, her Savior), we give this Book, your one sure guide in an unsure world. Read it, study it, love it, live it. In it you will find a verse for every occasion. Hide them in your heart.
Although my mother’s words were written over sixty years ago, their wisdom transcends generations, cultures, world events, time, and age. I have done my best to truly take her encouragement to heart and live it out.
My love of reading, studying, applying, and obeying my Bible has led me to the deep conviction that it is more than just great literature. There is something supernatural about it. What makes it so unique? The Holy Spirit. Only the Spirit could make Scripture “God-breathed,” alive, and truly life-changing—throughout all generations.
In what way have you experienced the Bible as God’s living Word?
2 Timothy 3:14-17 MSG
But don’t let it faze you. Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your teachers—why, you took in the sacred Scriptures with your mother’s milk! There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.
Day 6 : Reflecting the Purity of the Holy Spirit
Years ago I was the dinner guest of the president of a well-respected theological seminary. As we conversed, he confided that the number-one problem he faced with the students at his school was pornography. He then told me they had become aware of the problem because the students used the computers in the library that were tucked back behind the stacks of books. In an area they believed to be private, they were indulging their sinful habit, not realizing that what they viewed was traceable.
I’m still stunned by the seminary president’s revelation. But I’ve seen the bitter fruit borne in the lives of pastors, some of whom have multiple academic degrees, some of whom lead megachurches, some of whom may speak in tongues or exhibit other manifestations of the Spirit, and some of whom are gifted orators, yet secretly struggle with sexual immorality or addiction.
What has happened to purity within the lives of those who call themselves by God’s name? Is the lack of purity an indication that the Holy Spirit is withdrawing Himself? Because make no mistake about it, the Holy Spirit is indeed pure. He is holy.
I believe the church today is in desperate need of revival. Not a tent meeting or a series of services to save the lost, but a spiritual awakening that will compel God’s people to repent of our sin, return to the cross, and recommit ourselves to living lives that reflect His purity.
One of the responsibilities of the Holy Spirit is to make us holy as He is holy. Our responsibility is to cooperate with Him if we truly want to experience and reflect His purity. Choice by choice by choice. When He says something needs to go, get rid of it. Now. When He says a relationship needs to be severed, sever it. When He says we need to offer forgiveness to that person, offer forgiveness to that person. When He says to ask someone else for forgiveness, ask that person for forgiveness. If He says to break that habit, break that habit. Now. Don’t procrastinate. Don’t rationalize. Don’t excuse or defend yourself. Do what He says, when He says it.
What sin do you need to confess and turn away from—in action or reaction, thought or word, attitude or habit—because it is tarnishing the reflection of the Holy Spirit’s purity in you?
1 Timothy 4:11-14 MSG
Get the word out. Teach all these things. And don’t let anyone put you down because you’re young. Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanor, by love, by faith, by integrity. Stay at your post reading Scripture, giving counsel, teaching. And that special gift of ministry you were given when the leaders of the church laid hands on you and prayed—keep that dusted off and in use.
Day 7 : Trusting in the Providence of the Holy Spirit
When I received Jesus as my Savior, my assumption had been that the Holy Spirit was “assigned” to me. I thought He had come into my life because He had no option. I was now His “job”—His responsibility.
Then one day the words of Ephesians 4:30 gripped me. While I understand that Scripture is warning us not to intentionally, willfully sin, the word grieve caught and held my attention. I reflected on grief in my own life and knew I had experienced that emotion only when I loved someone deeply.
This realization turned the light on in my thinking as I realized that if I can grieve the Holy Spirit, it’s because He loves me. The Holy Spirit loves me! He’s not just a professional partner. He’s not just assigned to me. He doesn’t live within me because He has to—He lives within me because He wants to live within me. He deeply cares about what I do and who I become. Not only is He spiritually and practically involved in my life; He is also emotionally caught up in who I am and who I am to become.
What a difference that simple truth has made in my perspective. I can be myself with the Holy Spirit. I don’t have to be “on.” I can relax and be transparent with Him. I can trust Him completely because He truly loves me!
And the Holy Spirit loves you too! It doesn’t matter how small or how large your concern is. He cares. He understands. He wants what’s best for you. He desires for you to fulfill your God-given potential. He wants to ease your burden, solve your problem, comfort your broken heart, bind up your wounds, bring you through the valley of the shadow, shower you with blessing upon blessing. And yes, He wants to make you holy—because He loves you! Stop trying to impress Him. Stop working so hard to earn His love. Live with the confidence that you are deeply, unconditionally, permanently loved by Him.
In (or into) what situation do you need to invite God right now? It may be an immediate crisis or an ongoing struggle. Give Him absolute freedom and authority to take charge. Trust Him to bring you through. He will. And your faith in Him will be stronger as a result.
Ephesians 4:30 MSG
Don’t grieve God. Don’t break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for himself. Don’t take such a gift for granted.
We hope this Plan encouraged you. Learn More about Jesus In Me by Anne Graham Lotz.

Journal Entry 19th October 2019 :
This morning James and I were having a chat on instagram. We started to talk about overthinking and I said ive been learning to quite the mind and said its a choice. We ither choose Chaotic or Peace
He also mentioned about him not drinking this weekend and I was so pleased. He said it himself nothing good comes out of drinking every weekend.
Then I opened my Joyce Meyer book 365 Daily Inspirations for a confident Woman. And I love this when your talking about something then you read it in God's Word.
This is Joyce's message :
"Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God"
1 John 3:21 NIV
Some people are unable to pray boldly because their conscience bother them. There are things they need to repent of and commitments they need to make to do things differently. If that is the case with you, then just do it. If something is wrong in your Life, don't spend the rest of your days feeling bad about it....do something about it! And in Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond all that we could evervdare to hope, ask, or think.
There we are back to the start THINK
It is all about renewing our minds Romans 12:2

Self Perservation & Self-Sufficent
Journal Entry 17th October 2019:
# Word For Today
When you sing them, you're proclaiming the truth of God's Word and simultaneously ingesting it. You grow spiritually through the Word you hear, the Word you study, the Word you speak, and yes, the Word you sing.
Paul writes, 'Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord' (Ephesians 5:18-19 NKJV).
Jesus didn't just preach the Word, he sang it too: 'And when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the Mount of Olives' (Matthew 26:30 NKJV).
Why does the Bible emphasise speaking God's Word? Because when you read God's Word aloud you ingest it in two ways - through the eye-gate and the ear-gate. The same thing happens when you sing God's Word.
The readers of God's Word shouldn't look down on the singers of God's Word, and the singers shouldn't feel spiritually inferior to the readers. The important thing is to get into God's Word and get God's Word into you.
Some of us do that best through a sermon, others through personal Bible study and others through songs that proclaim the life-changing truths of his Word. So, when you worship, you're taking in God's Word.

Sunday 13th October 2019
'Go...tell them how much the Lord has done for you.' Mark 5:19 NIV
The most powerful testimony of all - is a life that can't be explained without including God! People may dispute your theology, but your testimony, that's something else! Six different times Paul stood before hostile audiences, and each time he gave his personal testimony. No arguing, no debating - just his story.
Dr David Yonggi Cho built the world's largest church in South Korea (one million members). He was won to Christ by a lady he met only once. She shared her testimony, moved on, and Cho, a former Buddhist, never found her again.
Your testimony is an awesome thing, especially when it's backed by a consistent lifestyle. People who won't listen to others will listen to you, relate to you and respond to you if you'll share your story. And when you do, keep in mind four things:
(1) Be interesting. Give them the short version and avoid clichés. Jesus is exciting; He came to bring '[life] more abundantly' (John 10:10 NKJV).
(2) Be specific. Talk about: (a) how it used to be; (b) how you met Jesus; (c) how it is now.
(3) Be honest. Don't say, 'All your problems will disappear when you become a Christian.' The Christian life is a battlefield, not a playing field. Let people know you still have struggles but something important has changed - you're no longer alone: 'He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world' (1 John 4:4 NKJV).
(4)Be warm. Don't try to arm-wrestle them into the Kingdom. Be gracious, sow the seed and leave the harvest to God.
Now, 'Go...tell them how much the Lord has done for you' (Mark 5:19 NIV).

Finding Peace Devotional. Living in Peace With Others 10th October.
First, determine the value of the relationship. If you’re going to live in peace with another person, you have to decide, “Is this relationship valuable enough to me to preserve it? Am I willing to compromise on some things to make the relationship work?” I firmly believe that those who are saved by grace and indwelled by the Holy Spirit can find genuine peace in their relationship when both value the maintenance of the relationship.
Second, start talking … and keep talking. When two people are talking—and willing to keep talking and listening to each other—they’re much more likely to quickly find resolution to their conflicts and live in peace with each other.
Third, be transparent. You can’t have a hidden agenda or a manipulative scheme at work in the back of your mind and hope for a peaceful relationship. Being open and honest with others when conflicts arise helps you to reach peaceful solutions in your relationships.
Finally, get to the core of the problem. As you communicate openly with others, taking an honest look at what is at the root of the conflict, you’ll be better able to work through any difficulty and establish peace.

Giving Up Anxiety
Anxiety is a problem we all will deal with at one time or another. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said:
Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? (Matt. 6:25-26)
The Greek word for “anxious” in this passage means “distracted.” It’s a word that refers to uncertainty. That’s what anxiety produces in us. It gives us a feeling of, What next? It’s a feeling that the rug has been pulled out from underneath us and we have no idea if we’re going to fall, how hard, in what direction, or onto what.
The word “anxious” is also translated as “worry” in the Bible. For many people, worry has become a way of life. If that describes you, I encourage you to read again the words of Jesus. His words are not a suggestion—they’re a command.
You may say, “I can’t help feeling anxious, I’ve always been a worrier.” I’ve heard that from many people through the years. My response is, “Yes you can.”
There’s nothing about a circumstance that automatically creates anxiety. Anxiety occurs because of the way we respond to a problem or troubling situation. Your ability to choose is part of God’s gift of free will to every human being. You can choose how you feel. You can choose what you think about, and you can choose how you will respond to a circumstance. It certainly isn’t God’s purpose for you to feel anxious—He doesn’t allow situations in your life so you’ll have anxiety.
The Father may allow a situation in your life to develop stronger faith, grow and mature, or change a bad habit or negative attitude. But God doesn’t set you up for anxiety. He’s always at work to bring you to a place where you’ll trust Him more, obey Him more fully, and receive more of His blessings.
You can fall into a downward spiral of anxiety. Or you can say, “Father, I bring this to You. It’s beyond my control. I feel helpless in this situation, but You have the power to change what I’m facing. You love me perfectly, and I’m trusting You to handle what concerns me in the way You see fit.
I know whatever You’ve planned for me is for my good. I look forward to seeing the way You choose to express Your love, wisdom, and power.”
Friend, this is the way of peace—the road out of anxiety and worry.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Rick Warren Devotional : To Serve...."What on life I'm I here For.
Spiritual Maturity is Never an End in Itself
We are commanded to serve God. Jesus was unmistakable: “Your attitude must be like my own, for I, the Messiah, did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give my life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28 TLB).
For Christians, service is not something to be tacked onto our schedules if we can spare the time. It is the heart of the Christian life.
Jesus came “to serve” and “to give” — and those two verbs should define your life on Earth, too.
Jesus taught that spiritual maturity is never an end in itself.
Maturity is for ministry! We grow up in order to give out. It is not enough to keep learning more and more. We must act on what we know and practice what we claim to believe. Impression without expression causes depression. Study without service leads to spiritual stagnation.
The old comparison between the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea is still true. Galilee is a lake full of life because it takes in water but also gives it out. In contrast, nothing lives in the Dead Sea because, with no outflow, the lake has stagnated.
The last thing many believers need is to go to another Bible study. They already know far more than they are putting into practice. What they need is serving experiences in which they can exercise their spiritual muscles.
Serving is the opposite of our natural inclination. Most of the time we’re more interested in “serve us” than service. We say, “I’m looking for a church that meets my needs and blesses me,” not “I’m looking for a place to serve and be a blessing.” We expect others to serve us, not vice versa.
But as we mature in Christ, the focus of our lives should increasingly shift to living a life of service. The mature follower of Jesus stops asking, “Who’s going to meet my needs?” and starts asking, “Whose needs can I meet?
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Matthew 20:28 NIV
