Christian Meditation Challenge # Day 10 : Peace Like a River

DEVOTIONAL

Do you feel overwhelmed about some things you have been dealing with lately? Psalms 55:22 encourages us to “cast your burden on the Lord, and he shall sustain you.” I know that at times it seems like getting to that place of indescribable peace is impossible with all that goes on in the world and society today. Know that not all storms come to disrupt our lives, but that some come to clear our path.

With today’s meditation,  totally rest and surrender all your troubles to God no matter what storms you are in. He knows everything that you are going through right now.

You are not forgotten! I know there are times that you have prayed and prayed and felt like those prayers didn’t go any further than the ceiling. But He hears all of your prayers, wishes, concerns, and fears, especially those accompanied by trust and faith.

Every day, God gives us opportunities to make the conscious choice to trust Him without doubting. Every day, He is looking to see you develop and tone your spiritual muscles. He wants you to experience the peace that passes all understanding.

2 Thessalonians 3:16 – “May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way."

No matter what you may be facing in your life, God wants you to have a moment to breathe and escape into his arms. He does not want you to be burdened with toxic emotions, toxic health, or toxic thoughts. He wants you to start forgiving yourself. He wants to be your very best friend! Will you answer when He knocks?

Christian Meditation Challenge # Day 9 :Learning to be Grateful Regardless of Your Situation

DEVOTIONAL

Learning to be Grateful Regardless of Your Situation

1 Peter 5:10 – “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”

Do you find yourself always wondering why you go through the things that you do? Do you always feel like God is picking on you like a kid with a microscope under the summer sun? Are you finding yourself constantly crying out “Lord, why me??!!”

1 Peter 1:7 – “ So that the tested genuineness of your faith – more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire – may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

At times, it is hard to understand exactly why God allows challenges and hard times to affect our lives. I’m pretty sure that you have often wondered what the other side of your trial looks like; what you’re supposed to learn in the grand scheme of things. However, it is important to keep in mind that we will never truly and fully understand the mind of Christ.

The challenges that He gives you are preparations for the blessings he has in store for you as well as to aid you in your spiritual growth.

For today’s meditation, start making a practice of changing your mindset when you are faced with an obstacle and start to thank God in advance for his continuous love and protection! We can trust God even in the midst of our pain.

Today's Meditation: In Everything Give Thanks (See below).

After the Meditation:

Sit in silence for a few moments.
Journal about your meditation experience or any new insights.
Don't judge how well you did. All that matters is you did it!
Thank God and yourself for taking the time to BE STILL in God's Presence.
Listen to the meditation again in the evening.
Journaling Questions for Today: What are you grateful for? Look deeper for some life lessons despite their discomfort or pain.

Christian Meditation Challenge # Day 7 : Cultivating Generosity

DEVOTIONAL

Are you going through a tough financially time right now? Do you find it hard to give the way you want without feeling like you are putting yourself into a deeper deficit? When it come to giving, whether time or resources, is your focus mainly on yourself and not others?

How about that homeless man you always see in front of your job with the cardboard sign. Do you avoid him in the hopes that he won’t ask you for any money because you feel a sense of lack in your own life?

Luke 6:38 says: “Give and you shall receive. Your gift will return to you in full – pressed down, shaken together, to make room for more, running over and poured into your lap.”

The idea here is that when you give genuinely and cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7) from your heart, regardless of what your current situation is, God will make sure that it is returned to you in a bigger way and at His perfect time. He wants you to put your total trust in Him so that He can show you just how much He loves and cares for you. This not only applies to money, but also being generous in your words, actions and time.

Before starting today’s meditation, I would like for you to conduct a little experiment. Take your hand and make a really tight fist. Keep it clenched! Now get a friend or family member to try pry your fist open, but continue to keep it clenched and unyielding. Could anything get in or out? Be honest with yourself in this moment. What did you discover that happened?

Cultivating Generosity

Christian Meditation Challenge # Day 8 : Pure Healing Water Meditation

DEVOTIONAL

In today’s age, we are more inclined to keep up with our doctor’s appointments for our physical body than we are to keep up with our appointments with our divine healer for our spiritual body.

Just as our organs, tissues, and other beautifully intricate systems within us can occasionally go array and off-balance, so can our spirit if we are not checking in regularly with God, our divine Physician. Is there some negative thinking and self-talk you are struggling with? Is your spirit feeling backed up with feelings of regret, unworthiness, shame, repressed words, past hurts, afflictions or even a broken heart that needs mending?

Are you in a constant whirlwind of spiritual sickness and don’t know how to stop feeling dizzy? Jeremiah 33:6 – “Behold, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.”

Here’s another little secret I want to share with you: when you receive divine healing for your spirit, you also allow God to heal your physical afflictions as well! Because our mind, body, and spirit are all connected, you will inevitably have access to being physically healed because you have developed a deeper relationship with God.

How awesome is that?

Before starting today’s meditation, I want you to start digging deeper and exploring the things that may have been on your heart and mind for some time now. What is plaguing your spiritual and physical health right now? What is preventing you from serving God with a clean mind, body, and spirit? During the meditation today, invite God into pain, dis-ease, or disease.

In Sunday Service Micheal spoke about "The Parable of the Ten Virgins, also known as the Parable of the Wise and foolish Virgins  in Matthew 25 : 1-13.

Then this morning I was reading my new book and on page 36 guess what the exact same parable....

Prayer Challenge # Day 5 : Set the Captive Free (Human Trafficking)

(Please read aloud with authority)

Challenge Day # 5- Praying for Victims of Human Trafficking

**Sex trafficking is a huge problem in the US and all over the world. Many of us don’t want to believe it exists and bury our heads in the sand. Let’s pray for exposure and deliverance.

This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.

In the name of Jesus, I pray for liberation and justice to be brought to the victims of sex trafficking. This includes men, women and children.

As believers of Christ, it is important that we “execute justice for the oppressed." (Psalm 146:7)

Psalm 103:6 tells us that, "The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed."

Father God, we pray for the liberation of victims of trafficking and all forms of oppression. We declare freedom now for the 30 million slaves in the world. Remove the chains of their oppressors and help them escape. Just as you helped Paul and Silas escape the jail, free these people supernaturally. Free them through the repentance of oppressors. Free them through the work of your people to administer justice. However you do it, please grant freedom.

Father, we pray for healing, restoration, and purpose for these victims.

We affirm, Psalm 130:1-3 that states, "I waited patiently for the Lord,  he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and

fear, and put their trust in the Lord. Father, you are a God of Miracles."

We declare the promise of Joel 2:25, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."

God, you are a God of miracles. You are a healer, restorer, and life-giver. We know you can bring life, purpose, and joy back to people who have had the years stolen away as if by locusts. Father, we ask that you would enter into their lives through other people, through your word, through opportunities, and through peace to enable healing. Put a new song in their mouths.

Father, we pray for salvation of victims of oppression. For Lord, you are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you." Psalm 86:5

Yeshua, save these victims of trafficking not only from the slavery they are held in, but from the slavery that is in their hearts. Save them from the sin that, no matter where a person is born and what life they live, is always there. You are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love. Cause these dear people to call upon you so that you can save them. Grant them an eternity where every tear will be wiped away and every injustice against them made right. May that be their hope.

In the name of Jesus, we pray for all those involved in sex trafficking. If it is possible, Yeshua, open their eyes, change their hearts, bring conviction to their souls, and salvation for traffickers. We bind this wicked spirit of perversion that has plagued the world. Father, set all captives free in the blessed name of Jesus. According to Isaiah 42:7, " Open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison, those who sit in darkness."

Oh God, you know it is difficult for us to pray for our enemies. But you have called us to do just that. Jesus demonstrated this when he prayed for us and so we pray for these traffickers. We ask that you would remove the sin that blinds them and open their eyes to the evil they commit. We ask that they would turn from their sin and repent. We pray for your faith and salvation for them, that they would seek your forgiveness and find it. We pray they would seek and receive the forgiveness of those whom they've victimized. God, only you can do such a work. If you have done it in our lives, you can do it in theirs. No one is too far for the reach of your gospel.

Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for arrest and prosecution of traffickers.

Psalm 37:17 declares that “the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous." “Let the evil of the wicked come to an end, and may you establish the righteous—you who test the minds and hearts, O righteous God!" Psalm 7:9

Heavenly Father, you are a just God. Our very notion of justice comes from you. You are perfect and holy. You are without sin, and because of this, you require payment for sin. We ask for justice to come to those who traffic people. We ask for authorities to locate, arrest, prosecute, and sentence these lawbreakers. Let this horrible practice be exposed for all the world to see. That which is hidden, bring it to the light.

Father we pray for governments and world leaders to help stop trafficking and to make it one of their top properties. We ask that you would elevate leaders that "hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate." Amos 5:15

Father, we pray for governments to stand on the side of the victims. Your word says that you hold the king's heart like a stream in your hand. So we ask that you would turn the hearts of leaders, that they would enact laws and systems to protect the vulnerable. We pray against corruption in all levels of government and law enforcement. We ask you to change governments so that they hate evil, love good, and establish justice at their gates.

Jesus, you know the roots of this atrocity. They are poverty, greed, and lust. God, first we want to pray for those in poverty. Father we pray that you would bring  people out of positions that lead to desperation, making them vulnerable to traffickers. Please bring work into these areas - animals, crops, and industry. Father, grant a way for people to care for their families and themselves so that they are not easily stolen away. We are so broken over the other roots as well, lust and greed. Father, open hearts and eyes to the sickness of lust and greed. Would you make them see that feeding off the flesh and backs of others is wrong and leads to nothing but emptiness.

In the name of Jesus, let all that is hidden come into the light. Let the awareness of this problem continue to grow and raise up prayer warriors and intercessors all over the world. Luke 12:2 declares, "Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known." "But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible." Ephesians 5:13:

God, would you help the public to see this as a problem for us all, not just those directly touched by slavery. As hard as it is to see and hear the truth and reality of what happens to these victims, we ask that you would help awareness increase. Show us how this is not only a problem overseas, but right here in our own cities. God, reveal to people how pornography plays into the trafficking of women and children. Give favor to those who are giving a voice to this cause. Help the truth of what is happening to these victims reach all races, ethnicities, and socio-economic classes. Pierce our consciences with the truth.

Father, we pray for your church to rise up and speak for the helpless, vulnerable, imprisoned, and oppressed. We ask that you would awaken this issue in our congregations and bring unity between denominations so that we can unite to end this evil. We pray for new laborers to come out of the church for this cause, people willing to work daily to bring an end to slavery.

Father, raise us up to action! Raise up your people to go in and rescue. Raise up your people to fight for education and prevention. Raise up your people to risk their lives so that others can be saved. Father, you are a God of freedom, your whole purpose in sending Jesus was to provide freedom to the captives. Please provide freedom for these victims and provide arms waiting to help restore them. Raise up an army of people willing to take action in a variety of different forms so that an end can come to the evil of slavery.

Today, this is my prayer and declaration. Amen

Christian Meditation Challenge Day # 6 : Interceding for Loved Ones

DEVOTIONAL

Philippians 2:3-4 – “Do nothing from selfishness and empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interest of others.”

Do you have a close friend or loved one that is not on the right track in life according to God’s Word? Do you deeply care for them and want to see them living a holy and fulfilling life? Are you finding yourself getting increasingly frustrated because they do not heed your advice? Do you pray for them fervently but yet see any changes in them?

Sometimes, it can be challenging to watch your friend or loved one go through difficulties and challenges in their lives. It is even more challenging to try to reach out to them in love but not be returned the same appreciation or acknowledgment of your efforts.

James 5:16 tells us to “pray for one another, that you may be healed.”

He also tells us that “the prayers of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” It may not feel like you are not making a difference in that person’s life, but God is always working behind the scenes to help ALL of his children.

For today’s meditation, I want you to keep in mind that God does not want to see you stressed out over the lives of others. He wants you to trust in Him that He will help those in need in His time.

Prayer Challenge # Day 4 : I'm Not of This World

Image

(Please read aloud with authority)

Challenge Day #4- I Am in the World But Not of the World

Dear Father God,

Your word tells us to me to be in this world, but not of this world.  And that friendship with the world is enmity with God.  “Everything in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--comes not from the Father but from the world. For the world and its desires will pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:16-17)

Whether times appear to be good or bad, there are few guarantees in this life. Satan is the god of this world and his plan is to kill, steal, and destroy. It is only by the grace of God that “live, move, and have our being.”

Does that mean that we can’t thwart the plans of the enemy? Absolutely not! God tells us to fight with the full armor of God! However, some things are just going to be out of our control, and the best thing we can do is to fully and completely surrender to Christ, knowing that He will never leave us or forsake us. The Bible says that even Jesus was obedient right up to the very point of this death.

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and the last thing he destroyed was death. We know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. However, when we are overly entangled with the things of this world, we give it to much preeminence in our lives, forgetting that we are just passing through, and here for a short time only. Forgetting that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Forgetting that this life is a part of our spiritual journey and evolution and not our real home.

Jesus said, “Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, drink, and wear, for the ungodly seek after such things, but your Heavenly Father knows what you need before you even ask. When we know who we are in Christ, we can rest assured that our Heavenly Father will provide for and protect us according to his will.   Instead of fighting our own battles, we can “seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything we need will be added unto us.”

Being overly concerned with the things of this world can be a real source of pain, anxiety, and stress, as well as snare to our spirits. Jesus never told us to battle with the world, but to battle in the Spirit, pulling down strongholds through love, prayer, fasting, faith, and meditation.

The scripture declares, “I will keep thee in perfect peace, he whose mind is stayed upon thee, because he cares for me,” and that a “life controlled by the spirit is life and peace.”

Father, I ask you today, to turn my eyes away from worthless things. The value of my life is not measured by the things I possess, my worldly accomplishments, or even my good causes. According to 2 Corinthians 13, love is the only true measure of a life rich in Christ. For the first commandment is to love God, and the second my neighbor as myself.  For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

Today, in the name of Jesus, I renounce the things of this world and purpose to live a life of love, gratitude,  and holiness. I purpose to spend more time with you Jesus in prayer, meditation, and your Word, where I can sit at your feet and dwell in your transformative presence. Psalms 16:11 declares, “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Today I declare that I will live in this world, but not be so wrapped up in it, that it causes me to be fearful, negative, hateful, or lose my joy. When Jesus walked on the earth, rarely did He try to change the world and its system. Instead, He was much more interested in souls and sought to change men’s hearts through salvation.

When I allow the Spirit of God to live within me fully, I can be full of joy and peace even in the most trying of circumstances. When I make the Lord the source of my joy, I can possess His peace that passes all understanding. That is good news today!

When wickedness abounds, grace much more abounds. I can tap into the power of the Holy Spirit, at any time, taking on the personhood of Christ and possessing the kingdom of God that lives inside of me. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteous, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I declare this day that I will not be overcome by fear, the plans of the wicked,  or the evil parading around in this world, but I will overcome evil with good. For the only thing that matters is faith expressing itself through love. Father, I ask you to use me as an instrument of your love, peace,  and truth today.

Because my hope and trust is in you, I will not be afraid. Right now, I surrender all of my fears unto you, for, without a doubt, you are my refuge and my strength. In the midst of the chaos, lies, and deception, you are in control and my hope is in you alone. I will not allow any of this to disturb my spirit. Instead, I seek your wisdom and guidance to be a light in this dark and fallen world. For they who have hope in this life only, are men most miserable.

According to Psalms 91-

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Surely he will save me from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover me with his feathers, and under his wings I will find refuge; his faithfulness will be my shield and rampart.

I will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me. I  will only observe with my eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

If I make the Most High my dwelling-- even the LORD, who is my refuge--then no harm will befall me, no disaster will come near my home.

For he will command his angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways; they will lift me up in their hands so that I will not strike my foot against a stone. I will tread upon the lion and the cobra; I will trample the great lion and the serpent.

"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

Today, this is my prayer and declaration. Amen

Prayer Challenge # Day 3 : The Glory of the Lord

Image

(Please read aloud with authority)

Challenge Day # 3- The Glory of the Lord

Dear Father God,

This is the day the Lord has made, I shall rejoice and be glad in it.

Today, I declare the glory of the Lord. Just as God led his people through the parting of the sea, so shall He lead us out of this disaster and destruction. No weapon formed against us shall prosper and all the plans of the enemy shall NOT succeed. I declare this day, that I have the faith that moves mountains. I say to this coronavirus and every work of evil, depart from here and return to the abyss from which you came. We declare you null and void. We strip you of your power. We declare life and not death. We declare victory and not defeat. Father God told us to only believe, and we shall see the salvation of God. Father, I believe with all my heart, soul, and strength that your power is greater than any other! In the name of Jesus, may your love, divine, and healing power, rule and reign over the nations from this day forward.

Just as Jesus calmed the storms that raged against the boat and the disciples, so shall He calm the storms raging within our hearts and nations, because we have faith and believe.

Just as the people of God walked around Jericho for 7-days, praying and worshipping, causing the walls to come tumbling down with a shout, so shall my prayers and words of faith bring down the walls of lies and destruction facing our nations.

Just as Paul was miraculously released from his prison cell by the angels of the Most High because he sang and worshipped God throughout the night, so shall I walk in the freedom that I have in Christ because when my prayers go up, the blessings come down.

Just as the prophet Elisha asked God to open the eyes of his servant, to see a vast spiritual army awaiting instructions for battle against the enemy, Father, we ask that you would open our eyes to see your glorious power and fill us with great faith.

2 Kings 6: 16-18 declares:

When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.

“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, “Strike this army with blindness.” So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.

Just as Elisha prayed and declared blinded on his enemies, so do we declare spiritual blindness, confusion, and defeat amongst the enemies trying to destroy us this day.

In the spiritual realm, we give orders to this mighty army to fight for us and the nations to bring down the strongholds, wickedness, death, and every form of evil,  and declare victory in the name of Christ.

Nothing is impossible to God. Nothing is impossible with God. Nothing is impossible to him who believes. I take my eyes off of the fearful works of darkness and instead look steadfastly toward God and his marvelous light,  this glorious light that penetrates the darkness, exposes it, and transforms it into our good.

Today, we declare that whatever the enemy intends for evil, God shall turn it around for our highest good. I declare, this day, that the people of God shall rise up as one body in love and power. They shall not be suppressed or intimidated by the enemies of God. They shall pray, they shall sing, they shall prophesize, and they shall go forth in battle and win!  May all who oppose them come to naught. May they be stripped of their power. May the angels of the Most High go throughout the land, defeating all principalities and powers and rulers of darkness that oppose the One True God, and who stand in the way of freedom, love, joy, abundance, truth, and peace in the Holy Ghost. For God has given us all things richly all things to enjoy and we will NOT allow the enemy to take them away. May the Spirit of God pour out all over all the lands and people of the earth to bring comfort, healing, and deliverance now!

We are a people ruled by the Most High God and we take our orders from him. Through prayer, fasting, love, and faith, we take back all that the enemy has stolen from us.

Father God, in the name of Jesus, we as children of the light, declare your glory all over the earth. We banish all the works of the wicked one and pull down the strongholds of evil now plaguing our land. We declare that NO weapon form against us shall prosper and no plague, disease, infirmity,  or pandemic shall come near our homes. We bind every spirit of darkness and loose the angelic and heavenly host to bring the balm of healing over the lands. In the name of Jesus, we declare this coronavirus null and void and that it has no more power to kill, steal, and destroy any longer. We declare in the name of Christ, that all strains of the coronavirus are now being touched by the mighty hands of God and being filled with God’s love, light, and healing power. We declare in the name of Christ, that all corona tests are showing only NEGATIVE results. Every form of it is being transformed into pure healing and living water.

We thank you Father God for continuing to expose the works of evil and to bring all those that are complicit in creating this crisis, to lose all credibility and power.  Father, we thank you for rising up an army of spiritual warriors that will continually pray against this evil and take back the earth.

Today, this is my prayer and declaration. Amen.

Christian Meditation Challenge Day # 5 : Giving God Your First Fruits

DEVOTIONAL

How is your thought life lately? Do you find yourself constantly thinking negatively towards anything that you face on a daily basis? Do you always “prepare for the worst” or expect the worse to happen when faced with uncertainty? Do you doubt the power of positive thinking in Christ and how it can transform your day, even your life?

Romans 12:2 tells us to “Be not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

In order to keep your thoughts and emotions aligned with Christ every day, it is important to pay attention to what you are thinking about and why you are thinking that way. God does not want you burdened with negative thoughts and emotions that are detrimental to both your spiritual and physical health.

The power of the tongue may be powerful, but the power of your thoughts is just as vital! Are you starting your days with joy and expectancy? Not only does God want us to align our thought life with Him, He also wants us to start each day anew by spending time with Him each morning. Giving Him your first fruits will not only keep you in a peaceful state, but will also prevent your mind from wandering or being restless. You will be able to stay focused on Him. Before starting today’s meditation, try doing a mental inventory. What about your internal life can you change today? What are  you feeling in your body? Where are you feeling it? Take a few deep breaths imagining your breath penetrating the feelings and releasing them from the body.

Christian Meditation Challenge Day # 4 : I Forgive

DEVOTIONAL

Hebrews 9:14 – “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” When is the last time you have forgiven yourself for any mistakes or wrong turns that you may have taken in your life? How patient are you with yourself when you are learning and growing in Christ? Do you give yourself permission to be freed from anything holding you back? Even if it’s YOU that’s holding you back, why are you standing in your own way?

In Psalms 55:22, we are told to “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee.” Learning how to forgive yourself and giving all your troubles to the Lord helps you to experience freedom from emotional turmoil. This very important attribute will in turn allow you to forgive others with an open heart as well.

Forgiveness and thankfulness go hand in hand. The real test of thankfulness is when you are challenged to be thankful while in the middle of a not-so-pleasant situation. It is when you are in an uncomfortable position that God helps you to build your character for the things He has planned for you. It is simply a matter of changing your perspective! So what are you thankful for right now?

Christian Meditation Challenge # Day 3 : You Are Not Alone

Devotional

God said in Hebrews 13: 5, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” When we go through times of hardship we often possess the mindset that we are all alone. We may even believe that God doesn't care about us or that he is punishing us. When we begin to feel this way, we have lost our perspective about life and God's love. God said that he sticks closer to us than a brother.

Psalms 139:5 says that God is in front and in back of us, and He has hemmed us in. Unfortunately, too often we equate good circumstances as positive and bad as negative. Yet this is erroneous thinking. We must understand that circumstances are just that, circumstances. They are what they are. This doesn't disregard the fact that some actions or choices that we make can cause frustration, distress, and pain. However, as long as we look at our discomfort and ignore the real truth that God love us even in the midst of our pain, we will forfeit our peace and joy replacing it with fear and anxiety.

The focus of today's meditation is God's love for us regardless of our circumstances and our impropriety. In fact, hardships help to give us a greater opportunity to surrender, and depend on the Lord. Each one we pass through strengthens our trust in God and helps us to grow in character, grace, and greater self-confidence. No matter what you are facing you can trust God. He loves you and He has not forsaken you.

Today's meditation Eliminating Stress and Toxic Emotions will allow you to nail your cares to the cross and hopefully leave them there, having full assurance that God loves you, cares about you, and is in complete control of your life. Can you rest in Him and trust Him today?

Let The Holy Spirit Toil The Soil For Jesus to fix Your Heart

The Holy Spirit is the ONLY one who can renew her heart … plowing up the unfertile ground and softening what disappointment has hardened. He alone can pluck out the root of regret and burn away the weeds of shame. He alone can pour forth living water into dry and desolate places. She is not a child of barrenness or lack. That is not her heritage! She is in Christ Jesus! Her joy is full in Him. Let the fruit of the Spirit spill forth from her lips. Let the abundance of grace show forth in her life. This is a time to bring glory to the Lord of the Harvest. This is a time to share the bounty of the King!

Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.
(Ezekiel 11:19-20)

Christian Meditation Challenge # Day 2 : Releasing The Past.

Devotional

Have you regretted a lot of things in your past? When you think about your actions in the past, does it make you cringe at the thought? Do you sometimes wish that someone invented a time machine so that you could go back in time and correct of all your mistakes? Do you think that having a chance like that would make your life so much better to deal with it than it is?

Isaiah 43:18-19 – “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of the old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

God does not want you dwelling in the past and being ashamed of your journey thus far. Whether good or bad, He has allowed all of those past experiences and trials to occur so that it could bring and prepare you for where you are right in this moment!

He wants you to enjoy your present and future without letting the stains of the past sabotage what He’s trying to do for you right now. Remember, the present is a gift!

To prepare for today’s meditation, I want you to start mentally letting go of all that plagues you about the past. Imagine those things being lifted from your mind and being wiped clean. Expect the beautiful peace of God to pour into your heart and spirit!

Christian Meditation Challenge # Day 1 : Control Negative Thoughts.

Devotional

LORD, CREATE IN ME A CLEAN HEART

Psalms 51:10 – “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit in me.” What is weighing you down? Is it finances, family problems, your job, illness, addictions, or emotional issues?

All of these issues have the potential to taint our spirit and bind us down with heavy chains. They are blotches of darkness and dirt on our white robes. The psalmist understood that in order to break free from the bondage of this world, we need to look within ourselves. Often that means asking some tough and revealing questions. Is my heart clean? Is my spirit right?

And if not, what is it that I am harboring within? The source of most of our problems is fear manifested or masquerading as anger, worry, uncertainty, hopelessness, and unbelief. If we truly trusted God at his Word, we would turn all of our issues over to Him and leave them there. We would rest in the assurance that if God is for us, he is more than the whole world against us. Before today's meditation, Controlling Negative Thoughts, take a few moments to examine your heart. Ask God to clean and purify your heart of any attitudes that may be creating the wrong spirit. For the spirit of God is joy, peace, love, patience, and faith. Use these as your measuring stick.

Christian Prayer Challenge # Day 2 : Purifying Our Hearts

Dear Father in the Name of Jesus,

This is the day the Lord as made. I will rejoice and be glad in it!

So often we want to ridicule, judge, blame, and put down others without taking a deep look into our own hearts. Jesus stated it simply when he said, “First pull out the mote from your own eye, before you attempt to pull the speck from your brother’s eye.  Without a pure heart and spiritual vision that is undergirded by love, how can we clearly see or even know God’s will? Even Jesus asked the disciples, “Who made me a judge or ruler over you?” Father, forgive us.

Even within the church, Father, there is so much negativity and hate. Yet Jesus tells us, there is none perfect but God. For this reason, Christ taught mercy, for none of us knows the heart of another. Jesus said, "Let he who is without sin, throw the first stone."

Heavenly Father, we have all been guilty of these sins. But if we are to be victorious, before we can lead others, we must rule over ourselves.  Our spiritual journey is our own responsibility. It is before God that we stand or fall, and make an account for how we have lived our own lives.

Whether we have been hurt, wronged or disappointed, the way we choose to react tells more about us and the condition of our hearts, than it does about our brothers and sisters, for all they did was reveal what was already there.

2 Corinthians tells us to purify our hearts of all that contaminates our bodies and spirits perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. Repentance is more than an act of salvation, because we need to die daily to the mindsets and behaviors that bind us to the principles of this world.

Heavenly Father, today, we come to you with a heart of repentance asking you to forgive us, once again, for the hardening and waywardness of our hearts. Father, in the name of Christ, break up that fallow ground and replace it with a foundation of love, power, and truth.

We invite the Holy Spirit into our minds and hearts once more, washing away all darkness that has tainted our robes of righteousness. For we know that when we are confident towards God, we can ask for anything, and God, you will grant it.

In this time of universal turmoil, we need your power to pull down the strong holds of evil. We desire to decrease so that a larger portion of your spirit may live in us and through us.  Holy Spirit, we need you like never before if we are to stand and do the works of Christ. Without you, our work is in vain, and we may coward in fear and defeat.

Father, we thank you for rising up a strong, powerful, and spiritual army to desecrate the works of the enemy. The Bible tells us that is not by power, nor by might, but by my spirit, says the Lord.  Heavenly Father, I want more of you in my life. I want to experience you in bigger and greater ways. I desire to enlist in your army and to fight this fight of faith.

Father fill me now to overflowing. Search my heart, oh God, and if there be any wicked way in me, cleanse me, transform me, and restore me to wholeness as well as holiness. Prepare me for the battle that is to come. Just as you encouraged Joshua, I will be courageous, and I will not faint. Your perfect love casts out fear and it can never fail!

Thank you, Father, for restoring me to wholeness in the precious name of Jesus!

This is my prayer and declaration for today! Amen!
