House Work/ Chores.

I use to love doing house work now I know now why people use to call it chores 🤔🤣😆...its like a workout now 💪

Plus I need to be careful of my diabetes ...look

Hunble yourself and He Will Lift You Up...

                          Lift You Up

This scripture has been going round my head. It was yesterday's  verse in The Youversion Bible App.

HUMBLE YOURSELF THEREFORE   UNDER GOD'S  MIGHTY HAND, THAT HE MAY LIFT YOU UP IN DUE TIME....1 PETER 5:6.

But it is also like the verse for step six in Celebrate Recovery.

JAMES 4:10 ...HUMBLE YOURSELVES BEFORE THE LORD, AND HE WILL LIFT YOU UP.

Then when I had put "LIFT YOU UP" in Google search engine. The song above came up first.

You know what, when I was listening to the song I actually felt lifted up more. When we do humble ourselves before God we get rid of the victim attitude. We take our eyes off ourselves and we put them on God. I just read this in my Bible....

Joyce Meyer commentary.......Putting the Word to work

To humble yourself "under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you" (1 Peter 5:6) means to ask the Lord for what you need and then wait on Him to provide as He sees fit, knowing that His timing is always perfect. Are you humbling yourself under His hand in every situation of your life and trusting that He knows what is best for you? He has great plans for you, so I encourage you to be still, stop striving, and allow Him to show you how to cooperate with His purposes for you.

Also, be sure to cast all your cares upon the Lord (see I Peter 5:7). Do not worry about anything because staying peaceful is actually proof that you have humbled yourself and that you trust God to do what needs to be done.

And this is what step Six is all about "We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character." and give us a new habit instead of our old ones creating a better character. It's no longer ger a defect.

In today's word in the UCB it tells us that
GOD USES THOSE HARD TRYING TIMES TO BUILD IN US PATIENCE, ENDURANCE, AND CHARACTER THAT WILL EVENTUALLY PRODUCE " THE HABIT OF JOYFUL AND CONFIDENT HOPE"

At the end this song started to play in my head. TURN YOUR EYES TOWARDS JESUS

Victim Mentality

A Victim Mentality
A victim is someone who is harmed by another. A victim is involved in an unfortunate situation-the victim of a car acci dent, a fire, a robbery, or someone who has been abused. The victim is harmed and was unable to do anything to prevent the harm. Many people are victims of various unfortunate situations, but they can recover with God's help unless they develop a "vie tim mentality" and refuse to let it go...

I was a victim of sexual abuse, and for many years I lived as a victim. I felt sorry for myself, used my past as an excuse for a bad attitude and bad behavior, and had a chip on my shoulder, a feeling that the world owed me preferential treatment because l was a victim. That wrong attitude never made my life any better, it just kept me trapped in the pain of my past.

God's Word tells us to let go of the past and trust God to be our vindicator. It is, of course, not easy, but it is easier than remaining a victim. God wants to give us victory, but we need a victorious mind-set. Where the mind goes the man follows (see Proverbs 23:7). If our thinking is according to the truth found in Gods Word, then our living will ultimately be what God intended form us also.

If you have been a victim and you feel that the things you sul fered are still affecting you, try this: Lie in bed for a few minute after waking up and think some thoughts on purpose. Think lik this: This is the day God has made and given to me as a gift. I will not waste it! My past is behind me, and nothing from the past can have any effect on me if I don't allow it to. God is on my side, and I choose to live this day energetically, enthusiastically, and passionately. By the grace of God, I will get up and put my time into things that have purpose, 1 resist the devil, and he will not steal my time today!

Be prepared to do this day after day, and you will soon begin 10 see results. It takes time to renew the mind, so don't be disap- pointed if you do not get immediate results. It is great if you do get them, but at least be prepared not to give up and to be deter mined to keep doing the right thing. Beginning each day with this mind-set helps you get your day started right.

Perhaps millions of people lie in bed each day and think, I don't want to is miserable. Nothing good ever get up. My life happens to me. All my life people have taken advantage of me. I hate my life and I dread facing another day. I woke up daily for many years with some version of this type of thinking. I was miserable, and I made myself more miserable with my own thoughts and atti- tude. I was unaware that I could do anything about my life, so 1 remained a victim. But, thank God, He has given me the victory through Christ! He wants to give that same victory to anyone who has been a victim and needs redemption.

But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors) through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Defile Yourself... (Matthew 18:11-20.)

Matthew 15:11-20....

11 "It's not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth."

12 Then the disciples came to him and asked, "Do you realize you offended the Pharisees by what you just said?" 13 Jesus replied, "Every plant not 12 Then the disciples came to him and asked, "Do you realize you offended the Pharisees by what you just said?"13 Jesus replied, "Every plant not planted by my heavenly Father will be uprooted, 14 so ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides an- other, they will both fall into a ditch."

15 Then Peter said to Jesus, "Explain to us the parable that says people aren't defiled by what they eat." 16"Don't you understand yet?" Jesus asked.17" Anything you eat passes through the stom- ach and then goes into the sewer. 18 But the words you speak come from the heart-that's what defiles you. 19 For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander. 20 These are what defile you. Eating with unwashed hands will never defile you."

Commentary From Recovery Bible....
15:1-20 Some people will look down on us and criticize us for our dependencies and our need for recovery. They take on a self-righteous posture because they are fulfilling all their "religious" duties, while we may be far from a model church member. Jesus says that outward activities don't necessarily correspond to inner righteousness. If we do all the right things with proud and selfish hearts, we will be judged by God. If we have accepted Jesus into our hearts and are humbly trying to recover, God is pleased with us, no matter what others may say.

Gossiping and Backbitting.. Calumny

LADIES GROUP Gossiping and Backbitting

My ladies house group didnt end well for me last night. I was very uncomfortable when Myra was talking about Helen from my very first DNA group. Everybody talks about someone but it just turned into a bashing and my spirit was disturb.

I google about gossip and found this on this link...https://bible.org/seriespage/lesson-13-have-you-heard-about-gossip-2-samuel-13-15

The Hebrew word most often translated “slander” means to give an evil report about someone. The Greek word means to speak against someone. James says that if we do that, we make ourselves the judge of both our brother and God’s law, usurping God’s rightful place (
James 4:11, 12).

Don’t bad-mouth each other, friends. It’s God’s Word, his Message, his Royal Rule, that takes a beating in that kind of talk. You’re supposed to be honoring the Message, not writing graffiti all over it. God is in charge of deciding human destiny. Who do you think you are to meddle in the destiny of others?
James 4:11‭-‬12 MSG
Summary – Gossip vs Slander
Both gossip and slander involve talking about others when they are not present. While both are bad habits, slander is worse than gossip. The key difference between gossip and slander is that gossip does not usually start with the intention of harming someone whereas slander is a deliberate attempt to harm someone’s reputation.

MESSAGE FOR TODAY I AM BELOVED.

Day 1: The Deepest Part of You Is Love

“Teach me who You are. Teach me who I am.” What a simple, almost perfect prayer.

It is pregnant with meaning and depth yet communicates with a classic simplicity that resonates today.

Who are You? Who am I?

The world loves to inform us of who we are. But who does God say we are?

We are each created with the divine stamp deep inside which whispers to us that our identity as humans comes from God. The first and most important thing about who we are is that we are loved and that our worth doesn’t come from the words or actions of others, our achievements, or our lack thereof. Our starting point is that we are loved by God — we are His, beloved. We are not like the grit in an oyster that over time, with God’s grace, becomes a pearl. We start off profoundly precious. At the beginning of our story, we are created good. We are of infinite worth because we are infinitely loved by an infinite God. This is where we start. I’m not saying we are perfect. We do sin. The Fall happened and is part of our story. We get it wrong. We get hurt, and we hurt. But none of this affects who we truly are or who God created us to be.

When God created us — you and me — He created us in His “image” (Genesis 1:26). We are created by love and from love and in love. Thomas Merton describes it well: “To say that I am made in the image of God is to say that love is the reason for my existence, for God is love. Love is my true identity. Selflessness is my true self. Love is my true character. Love is my name.”

The deepest you is love, and love is the language you were formed by.

You were conceived and made in love.

You are lovely, and you are loved.

This is why the gospel is “Good News.” When we think about the Christian message — its genesis, its beginning, which is your beginning — it is good. It says that you are loved, and you are God’s own.

Think about that: the deepest part of you is love. You were formed in love. Too many of us — including me — doubt this deep down. Do you believe this about yourself?

You are loved.

You belong to God.

Breathe.

Remember:

The deepest me is love.

I am loved.

1. Thomas Merton, New Seeds of Contemplation (New York: New Directions, 2007), 60.

Then my Abide Meditation for today is also saying I Am Loved!!!!

I really need to believe this ❤️

God Has Opened A Door.
